I can only speak for myself. I view all politicians as thieves and their followers as gullible. The letter by their name makes no difference. Al long as they can manipulate Americans to be at each others throats, they can continue to enjoy access to our tax money. They are like mosquitoes campaigning for a spot on my neck. Right now, IMO, Biden is not on the side of bad or not on the side of destroying America. The Trump Party, with Trump as the leader, IMO a pyromaniac when he does not get his way, will burn the country down out of spite. So, to sum up, I can't, in good conscience, equate both sides, right now, on the political spectrum.

They should be treated the same as any criminal defendant, actually it's less about that and more about the procedure of these investigations these days. Knock-door down raids, 5 AM stuff(which resulted in the Taylor travesty for example.). Really, at the heart of all of this is George.W. Bush's "reforms" after 9/11. They didn't make us safer and they made us less free. I remember when Liberals(I was one of them) were opposed to Bush's insane power grabs, we're still living under the paradigm he created.

Well-written post. My only disagreement is that we should distrust China every bit as much as Russia. They're 'in-bed' with each other, and their goal at this point is to kick us out of any significance in the entire Eastern Hemisphere. The only thing potentially in 'our' favor is that given the opportunity, the Chinese would turn on Russia "in a New York minute". And, when you get right down to it, Russia is surprisingly weak, and vulnerable -- except for its ability, of course, to destroy nearly ALL human life on the planet. But it would be done at the cost of leaving every Russian west of the Ural Mountains as dead as a doornail. Above all, Putin does not (NOT) want that!

This is cherrypicking, in the rest of it I pointed out how most of the left wing viewed them as Trump's 'stormtroopers' let's say. The whole big deal made out of "stand back and stand by" for example(awful choice of words on his part.) but based on the archives-gate, it's rather apparent that the DOJ isn't asserting Trump to be their 'ringleader' or any evidence thereby. But that hasn't stopped people from saying it, and through its media amplification these nuts believe it.
I don't see anyone attacking the Capitol or FBI offices or otherwise acting out violently on that basis.
You sure love to give Trump the benefit of the doubt, even when there is no doubt. I don't know who called the violent mob (or just the insurrectionists among them, perhaps?) his storm troopers, but that seems an apt comparison. Even now they post on their kooky Trump-centered social media that they're waiting for Trump to give them orders in between calls to "lock and load" and calling for civil war.
