And for $4 a gallon instead of $5 a gallon.

They seem to celebrate high inflation and people losing their jobs.

Supply and demand will ultimately decide but, as with the price of items that people must have and use, the prices will remain as high as the seller can get.

Ignoring the sleaze, for just a second, we're in a new era.

    Plan accordingly, morons.

You dove headlong into the sleaze.

The new "progressive" era of failure will be over shortly, morons.

Most Dems aren't actually Progressive, so there is no Progressive era.

    At least not yet.

"Progressives" are dictating the Party's policies, agenda and direction. The new "progressive" era of failure has already arrived.

    Beginners...

The East Coast Establishment used to run the Republican party. When the West/South took over, they took over the Dem party.

That ain't Left, it's barely Centrist. They make a little room for the few actual Progressives in Congress, but if there isn't some emergency like Covid, real Progressives are ignored when they aren't being undermined.

You badly need a clue, but you don't have the slightest interest in getting one, do you..

Obviously not. The US inflation rate in the year to July 2022 was 8.5%.

Now do you have any answers to the actual questions and points in my previous post?

Cool story, bro, and your wake up call is coming in November. You can spin your little yarns till you fall off your high horse but Demokrats are going to get killed in the midterm elections because it's plain to everyone that "progressives" are dictating the NDP's policies, agenda and direction.

Exhibit A - the Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee:

And then there are more honest and astute observers of the NDP than yourself who are willing to admit the obvious...

    The Progressives Have Already Won
    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2021/09/progressives-have-already-won/620195/

...and what's obvious is that Demokrats aren't pushing a moderate/centrist agenda and legislation through Congress, and that's why there is no broad support for their policies and no bipartisan consensus for their legislation. Then there's the lousy approval ratings of the halfwit in the WH whose strings are being pulled by the "progressives" in his party, which are the lowest of any president EVER. The only support Demokrats have is from their base - they've completely lost the Independent vote. Centrists my glutes.

Leftists like you are a dime a dozen, sport - they can't be honest about what's become of the Democratik Party since the 1960s, but those of us who used to be Democrats don't have that problem. As one famous former Democrat said, I didn't leave the Democratic Party, it left me, and there are countless other former Democrats who will tell you the same thing. Today, more and more people from what used to be core Democrat constituencies are leaving the party, too, and we got a front row seat to that here in Virginia last November when the "progressive" wack jobs who were dictating the policies, agenda and direction of the Virginia Democratic Party managed to lose all three statewide elections, and to a Black woman candidate for lieutenant governor and Latino candidate for AG, no less. And that's just the tip of the iceberg - Dems lost control of the House of Delegates, and lost swing districts such as my own. Centrists my glutei.

We could have a nice long talk about the "progressive" Long March through the Democratic Party that began in 1968 after they emerged from the wilderness that Henry Wallace and his band of Soviet sympathizers marched them into 20 years earlier because Harry Truman & Co. were too hard on their "progressive" fellow travelers in the Soviet Union, but I get the impression that 1) you don't know anything about any of that and 2) you just want to climb down into the sandbox and tell people who don't buy your bullshit that they don't have a clue. So, you save your BS for your comrades and whoever is truly clueless enough to believe it and have a nice day. :blownose:

It's the history, not the fiction you guys love.

Ordinarily, Republicans would make big gains, but as I keep saying, this is a weird one. The one after is going to be bonkers..

As I have said repeatedly, real Progressives get ignored until the poop hits the fan. A lot of poop has been hitting the fan lately..

It's not just presidential elections, Dems always get millions more votes. The way Republicans count them makes them win more than they lose despite that. However, your whine about Dems leaving you is partly valid. What I call the corporate wing that dominates the Dems does a lot of things neither of us likes.

Love the Red baiting, I had no idea you never left the 1950s...

Yet both Biden and Harris did claim that inflation in July 2022 was 0%. Why?

OK, so apparently inflation from 1st July to 31st July was technically zero but inflation is typically measured on a rolling year scale so that was technically true but politically twisted statement. It was clearly wrong for them to make that statement and fairly stupid given how obvious the spin was.

    Now, speaking of misrepresenting statistics for political purposes, are you ever going to actually address any of the points in the post of mine that you initially replied to;

Do you agree it is sadly telling that there was a 30% divide between Democrats and Republican respondents on a simple question of economic fact?
Do you think "democrat rule" is the fundamental cause of the current inflation problems and, if so, which levels of US government is responsible?
Do you think only "lefties" spin up small economic positives to promote their preferred politicians or is that actually something all partisan political operators are similarly guilty of?

Ultimately, do you think the results of this poll are a reflection of the real state of the US economy or more of a reflection of the ignorance and divisiveness endemic to political discourse in the US?
