like it or not, law enforcement tries to build a comprehensive case. sometimes that involves months of observation. in this particular case they may have had questions of what trump planned to do with the nuclear weapons information, and if possible catch him selling the secrets in order to nab the buyers.

maybe they now know who he sold this stuff to. we may never know. the ibn saud (to take a wild example) may have gotten what they want, an operational bomb, from pakistan for much less than $2B .

The FBI would have made sure if the president did declassify any of these documents using the prescribed process. TSSCI can be declassified by EO only if that declassification is shorter than the 25 year time frame. The DOE or DoD are the only agencies that will review the document with TSSCI, address the issues in the document, and declassify them.

Justice is not a show that can be solved in an hour Grayman. I have known cases that have taken 30 years or so to solve. There are still some that are unsolved. That being said, because Trump was president, it took this long because every fact or piece of evidence had to be checked and rechecked.

As the saying goes, they may be slow, but they are not stupid.

So the FBI and NARA lost track of Secret classified documents and did not know where they were? Highly unlikely... as the FBI definitely has shown the possibility to do just that from the past five years... Again how come no one is coming to the Former President's defense? Time is being spent on everything else except what he may or may not have done. Could it be that many of the former President's supporters suspect he did something he shoulden't have?

The timing is a little odd, is it not? It is pretty bad when the FBI drops the ball for 18 months and let's any document that are highly secret classified floating around the world... maybe in Hillary's case, yes...... but not in Trump's case...

 

I actually believe that if they could have they would have waited longer. This type of operation doesn’t happen without a political nod from way up. He is a former president and this has never happened in history even during Nixon. The Whitehouse claiming they did not know about this is complete BS. They likely helped with all the little fine details. There is no way that they would have done this without some sort of political reassurance.

The FBI has had Hunters laptop for quite a while. They just barely got Trumps supposed evidence. Any guess on who will be charged first? The FBI is definitely an arm of politics and it’s sickeningly obvious to anyone with a brain.

Who was aware of this "standing order". Where is the documentation, because its not something that's retroactive.
He's such a buffoon that he possibly didn't even know he had that power, so never exercised it. Remember, he lacked the proper qualification for the position to begin with. He wasn't a lawyer.
