    NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump’s chief financial officer is expected to plead guilty to tax violations Thursday in a deal that would require him to testify about illicit business practices at the former president's company, two people familiar with the matter told The Associated Press.

    Allen Weisselberg is charged with taking more than $1.7 million in off-the-books compensation from the Trump Organization over several years, including untaxed perks like rent, car payments and school tuition.

    The plea deal would require Weisselberg to speak in court Thursday about the company's role in the alleged compensation arrangement and possibly serve as a witness when the Trump Organization goes on trial in October on related charges, the people said.

    Ladies, gentlemen and everything in between, ready your popcorn! It looks like things are set to become very interesting in the New York investigation into the Trump Org.

    So, not only was another witch caught in the witch hunt, but this one is apparently going to be ratting out the rest of the coven as well.

    Who cares. Biden has a better chance at beating Trump than De Santis, and he really has no chance to beat Trump. Why are you guys cheering that the mountain you’re going to have to climb in 2024 gets a lot higher without Trump? Does your hatred really consume you that much?

    It will be interesting watching how people will still be cheering him when he is in the Home for the Permanently Bewildered which is where darling Ivanka will put him the minute the investigations get close to her and Jared

    Where are you guys going to go once you've worn out this level of outrageous accusations? It's hard to find something lower than that to accuse someone of just because they're a politician or candidate in the political party you choose to despise for no rational reason.

    Each case is judged on it's own merits. A judge isn't going to look at Trump's financials and say, "All is forgiven because Biden groped a child". It
    if don't understand this, then you don't understand law.

    Furthermore , bringing up Biden is not a valid defense of trump. That tactic is not only getting old....... but i s irrelevant.

    I'm celebrating because a world where Trump is not and will not be president is automatically a better one. I'll take DeSantis over Trump any day of the week. I won't like it, but at least it won't make me puke and be embarrassed for our country. Of course, DeSantis could end up getting worse, but sometimes the devil you don't know is still better than the one you do.

    There is an adage, "no honor among thieves." What this means is that because he was facing a possible lengthy jail sentence if he went to trial and plead, "not guilty," he is doing the prudent thing by pleading guilty and testifying truthfully in the upcoming trial against Trump Org. This will help him mitigate and possibly minimize any lengthy jail time because he is showing, "he's cooperating fully" with legal authorities.

    Because he is the one who oversaw the books of the company and knows the accounting gimmicks that the Trump organization uses to hide possible income, overstated deductions, etc, this will be very damaging to Trump Organization in the near future if he testifies. Furthermore, Trump's Organization's former Accounting Firm which filed tax returns stated in 2021 that the last 10 years of the books cannot be trusted. This is not a good thing for Trump Organization.

    This is not a wish list, but following the rule of law.
