Brain's may not determine physical gender, but that does not exclude a person's gender identity, contained entirely within their brain, not matching their physical gender. And don't sit there and tell me it's a mental illness or a delusion, because I'm just going to point out religious belief to you again because it functions almost exactly the same way. Belief in things that aren't real. If you can sit there and tell me a person can believe in a magical God who controls our lives and is responsible for everything from the beginning until the end of time and that's perfectly okay, but that when a person believes their gender identity is not the same as the birth gender that it is a mental illness, that is the product of nothing but pure hateful prejudice.

You're able to maintain this position because you ignore the obvious difference between physical anatomy and mental gender identity. There is no rule of nature that says the way your brain perceives your conscious self must match the genitalia that you're born with. Its a mental illness and gender surgery does nothing to make them happier because....they are mentally ill. The suicide rate of those who transition are astronomically higher than of straight men and women.
