all they do is lie lie lie to you all and you continue to put them where they are. Destroying our country.

They don't lie to me and all the conservatives, as we don't Believe Them....Not a speck do we believe them ... The old hard line conservatives are almost as bad as the Dems.

Why continue to vote them in, it's a force of habit you all can't break.

I was there in early 2020 and Broke the decades of Habit.

This might actually go well. OP started with calling out both parties.
This should be done more often.
    Suggestions for all:
when the influx of talking point lists start coming in, even though you will see spin and lies, resist the urge to rip on it and politely share why you think of that talking point differently.
Note: I have followed those same suggestions 1 out of 10 times but I'm trying! (had to put that out there)
    Cheers!

The people who are elected are not the ones calling the shots, so electing different people will have little effect on the results we get.

Yes ALL politicians lie, that is the game plan, all the lawyers who go to politics, a lot of liars....but I'm hearing more and more this Bunch in today's D party are the worst in 40 yrs. And many even say that Biden is worse than Carter and I thought Jimmy was OK because he had a D before his name.

We have the highest prices in everything and the D elites are just that. Do you think the politicians are struggling to feed their families? I don't believe so. Soros et al is taking good care of them

I wouldn't call them honest, but not as dishonest as republicans. Let's see politifact 57% of major biden statements are half true or better. Trump is 23%. But should you trust somebody who lies 43% of the time? I lose trust if I lie a couple times.

But they're politicians. Politicians lie. It's more about policy, and on most issues the democrats are closer to where evidence, logic, and/or my values point.

Both parties have their Evils, do you know the KKK history

    https://assets.ctfassets.net/qnesrj...uth_about_the_democratic_party-transcript.pdf

When you think about racial equality and civil rights, which political party comes to mind? The Republicans? Or, the Democrats? Most people would probably say the Democrats. But this answer is incorrect. Since its founding in 1829, the Democratic Party has fought against every major civil rights initiative, and has a long history of discrimination. The Democratic Party defended slavery, started the Civil War, opposed Reconstruction, founded the Ku Klux Klan, imposed segregation, perpetrated lynchings, and fought against the civil rights acts of the 1950s and 1960s. In contrast, the Republican Party was founded in 1854 as an anti-slavery party. Its mission was to stop the spread of slavery into the new western territories with the aim of abolishing it entirely. This effort, however, was dealt a major blow by the Supreme Court. In the 1857 case Dred Scott v. Sandford, the court ruled that slaves aren’t citizens; they’re property. The seven justices who voted in favor of slavery? All Democrats. The two justices who dissented? Both Republicans. The slavery question was, of course, ultimately resolved by a bloody civil war. The commanderin-chief during that war was the first Republican President, Abraham Lincoln – the man who freed the slaves. Six days after the Confederate army surrendered, John Wilkes Booth, a Democrat, assassinated President Lincoln. Lincoln’s vice president, a Democrat named Andrew Johnson, assumed the presidency. But Johnson adamantly opposed Lincoln’s plan to integrate the newly freed slaves into the South’s economic and social order. Johnson and the Democratic Party were unified in their opposition to the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery; the 14th Amendment, which gave blacks citizenship; and the 15th Amendment, which gave blacks the vote. All three passed only because of universal Republican support. During the era of Reconstruction, federal troops stationed

That is what voting for dummies will get you.

The bolded part is true, but for a different reason. I've always held the belief that the office changes the person more than the person changes the office. Remember the saying: Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. It's because being a boss has certain requirements that are independent of the person who actually is the boss. Therefore, becoming boss changes most people, mostly not for the better.

I remember when I had my first teaching assistant (TA) with the power to grade exams. All of a sudden a good friend of mine, who also became TA at the same time, changed his personality and became a total a$$hole to the students he had "under" him in his group. Some people are just attracted to having power over others....

We got different results when a non-politician by the name of Trump was elected president.

Because even stepping over the bodies of their fentanyl-killed children and tip toeing their way through a sea of hypodermic needles, homeless, and feces just to get gangbanged by a transgender on one end and an illegal immigrant on the other who will be summarily released on $10 bail the next day still doesn’t compute with them that their voting had anything to do with it.

in short: they’re dumb as rocks.

And that is exactly what we need again. Maybe not Trump, but another non-politician who is determined to drain the swamp. Trump promised to do that, but instead left the swamp intact, who then undermined everything he tried to do. When you drain a swamp, you will piss off a lot of snakes an alligators. Lots of people there defend the status quo, and no one who comes in to upset that will succeed, unless they deal with the swamp first.

What the democrats, and half the republicans, and 90% of the media all colluded to do to get rid of Trump, they did so that no one else would ever dare to challenge the swamp again. We will probably never again see another non-politician businessman run for high office, because they all have seen the extent to which the snakes and alligators will defend their status quo swamp. The people who are smart enough to fix our broken government, are smart enough to stay 1000 miles away from it.

I think Lincoln summarily fired and replaced nearly everyone upon his election. We will see no real change until that happens again. And, to be honest, we will probably never see that happen.

Integrity is like a water bucket with a leak. One bucket may have a smaller leak, but in the end, neither holds water.
