Thank you. I accept your concession

For more reading, here is one on youth hormone transitioning: https://www.jahonline.org/article/S1054-139X(21)00568-1/fulltext

And one that explains the “small decline”: https://www.schulich.uwo.ca/about/n...by_changing_policy_and_societal_factors_.html

Wow... No, you want to cast that, but it missed. Sorry. If you would like, you can try it on others, I doubt it will work any better... So, given the post, you seem to have fallen flatly on what the rest of us have already said. Gosh... Who knew that you'd ever get there?

As with many things though, you couldn't just come right out and say it from the get go....

Your source in no way states those damages do not occur (I never stated otherwise). There are health benefits but it is still mutilation as per the definition of the word.

If they are first grade arguments and you are unable to answer them…, I guess that does explain the disconnect we are having here.

LoL YOU provided the source and I underlined it for you.

    I know, let's try pictures.

Since underlining paragraphs and shoving them in your face don't work as you can't seem to comprehend it, lets try this:

Here is the chart that shows ALL suicides over time. It purports to show a small decrease because the suicides remain the same, but it concludes a decrease because says there is a larger pool of people.

    Capture254.JPG

This chart shows the suicide rate AT EACH STAGE.

Before the op is basically the same as after the op.

Notice the drop at the point where they're in surgical phase. The suicide rate here drops because they're thinking they're getting what they want.

The post op figures show that after the op, the dream didn't match the outcome, and the suicide rate goes right back up to pre op.

    Capture4333.JPG

If you continue to strut around the chessboard knocking things over after this, I'm just going to consign you to the heap of people not worthy of a response.

I don't care either way, though.

    Really.

We've established that mutilation means serious damage.

What serious damage is caused to the penis by removing some of the skin.

Oh I've answered them, they're just bouncing off your forehead like a tennis ball.

Except there is, I have already sourced the data — psychological and physical damage are both common occurrences.

I must have missed where you answered why you believe less STD transmission is a valid reason for disfiguring a child? Your arguments seem awfully similar to people advocating for hormone blockers.

I mean I guess you did answer, 1st grade questions are too difficult

You're the gift that keeps on giving.

    From your source:

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7702013/

Routine, non-therapeutic infant male circumcision is the most commonly performed surgery in the United States (Maeda et al., 2012; Weiss and Elixhauser, 2014). Approximately one-third of males in the world are circumcised (World Health Organization, 2010), primarily for cultural reasons. Nevertheless, the social and health-related aspects of newborn circumcision, including the degree and magnitude of associated benefits and risks, remain contentious and hotly debated (Darby, 2015; Freedman, 2016; Myers and Earp, 2020). Relatively little research has investigated pain-related responses to circumcision in infants (Dixon et al., 1984; Fergusson et al., 2007; Gattari et al., 2013; Gunnar et al., 1981, 1995; Marshall et al., 1980, 1982; Mondzelewski et al., 2016; Page, 2004; Svoboda and Van Howe, 2013; Taddio et al., 1997a, 1997b; Talbert et al., 1976; Williamson et al., 1986; Williamson and Williamson, 1983), and only a handful of studies have generated evidence regarding potential long-term effects lasting into adulthood (Bauer and Kriebel, 2013; Bollinger and Van Howe, 2011; Frisch and Simonsen, 2015a; Ullmann et al., 2017). The small number of studies that have investigated long-term effects have been argued to exhibit methodological flaws and limitations (Boyle, 2017; Morris et al., 2012; Morris and Wiswell, 2015) leading to calls for further research in this area (Bollinger and Van Howe, 2012; Frisch and Simonsen, 2015b).

    Meanwhile from my source:

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2128676/

Although any surgical operation can be painful and do harm, the pain of circumcision, if done under local anaesthesia, is comparable to that from an injection for immunisation. Indeed, we urge parents to immunise their children, a procedure for which the infant cannot give consent and which carries the risk of adverse events ranging from fever to anaphylaxis and aseptic meningitis.

Examination of data from seven case controlled studies of cervical carcinoma showed that circumcised men were less likely than uncircumcised men to have human papillomavirus infection.5

Male circumcision was associated with a reduced risk of cervical cancer in women with high risk sexual partners.

Male circumcision in a relatively high risk population gives protection from HIV that is equivalent to what a vaccine of moderate efficacy would have achieved.7 An AIDS expert, speaking at conference earlier this year, called for all boys born in South African public hospitals to be offered routine circumcision. “It is so blindingly obvious that there are real reasons for circumcision,” he said.

What is more, a 2006 systematic review and meta-analysis showed that circumcised men have a significantly diminished risk of acquiring chancroid and syphilis, while data from a large New Zealand birth cohort followed up to age 25 years suggested that uncircumcised men are almost twice as likely to get a sexually transmitted infection

No robust research exists examining the long term psychological effects of male infant circumcision. Most evidence of psychological trauma in men is anecdotal

Despite the fact that no medical body advocates routine infant circumcision, most agree that male infant circumcision is safe and acceptable and recommend that the procedure is carried out by a competent operator using adequate anaesthesia.15,16,17

Male circumcision is not illegal anywhere in the world.

That doesn’t dispute anything I have said.
No one is arguing the benefits of circumcision.
I guess me saying “There are health benefits” was too complex of a statement.

The question is do you believe adults should have the authority to mutilate (as per the definition) children against their consent?

What we've established is that it's not mutilation as it doesn't seriously damage the penis.

We've established that no country in the world considers it to be mutilation.

Seems you're one of the few people struggling with the concept.

You might as well be arguing that getting your ears pierced is mutilation.

Yet she's protecting all those she accuses,

Her therapists, doctors, surgeons, name them Chloe if you're so concerned about this happening to other kids.

Her parents are mum when they could go public on how as Chloe says they were manipulated.

What was Chloe's state of mind that led to her having her breasts removed at 15?

Was she suicidal, into a destructive lifestyle and claimed that only surgery would help her?

We know nothing about the whys and how this could have been permitted on a 15yr.so I see all this as sensationalism by the right-wingers who claimed her as their anti-trans poster gal.

I think all surgery on transgender youths under 18 should be illegal across the board.

Transgender children ought to be treated like any other whether bio or not. There will always be those that will jeer at this.

reduced sexual pleasure, possibly other issues if the procedure goes wrong

the Doctor and the Parents should be able to be sued when the child turns 18 if done without his consent

it's an elective surgery, no reason to do it, let the person decide for themselves or risk getting sued

Folks, let me ask all of you a serious question:

If a boy grows up and never, ever sees a girl, doesn't even know what one is, will he believe he's in the wrong body?

The only thing we have established is that actual definitions exist and ignoring them makes one a fool.

If you are feeling up to it maybe you can figure out how to answer a question that you asserted was elementary level stuff. Sad to see it is causing so much strife but I guess the American public education system has been a failure for generations so I shouldn’t expect much better.

Which part? Allowing people to make their own medical decisions through informed consent and at the advice of medical professionals?

Why do you feel that is “silly nonsense”?

What personal injury? The circumcised have lesser rates of infection and the practice is justified by health reasons. It’s not strictly a religious or ethnic matter. If I were the parent of such a child such an act on their part would end the relationship and any inheritance at all. That is an unforgivable act, one that never occurred to me as a younger adult to do to my parents.

Exactly. I agree with that. I’m only opposed to the kind that Hobby Lobby opposed and won regarding Obamacare. They /I favor 16 in the plan and oppose 4 because they were a form of an early abortion.
