Right-wing individuals are more likely to fall for political bullshit, according to new research (psypost.org)

Link to study: Political Bullshit Receptivity and its Correlates: A Cross-Country Validation of the Concept| Journal of Social and Political Psychology (psychopen.eu)

Some would say that this is obvious. They would say that the devolution of the conservative brain since October 7, 1996 is proof positive of this. Is correlation equal to causation here? Not necessarily. The study included samples from Serbia and the Netherlands, and Murdoch's contamination doesn't reach there... 1584414801.3623-smiley.gif

Hahaha….how many people believed the planet was going to essentially die in 12 years, and when it didn’t die they were then told it will die in another 12 years? How many people were convinced the coastal cities would be under water all while the people who told them that moved to coastal cities? How many people believed in the Russia hoax and Hunter’s laptop being Russian disinformation? How many people believed Psaki when she said companies won’t raise prices if their costs go up? How many people believed we could insure 45 million people and save $2500 a year while the quality of our care improved?

I’m just warming up here, I still have about five thousand more examples of libs falling for BS and democrats constantly feeding it to them because they know libs will believe it like it came from the burning bush. And if you doubt me I’m going to have Jonathan Gruber weigh in on this.

Doesn't seem like much of a study with this few participants.

    https://www.psypost.org/2022/09/rig...ical-bullshit-according-to-new-research-63961

"The new findings are based on research conducted with 179 U.S. participants, 185 Serbian participants, and 170 Dutch participants."

The study itself is worthless, we don't know what the 'political bullshit' is, it doesn't have a control group. It doesn't have anything at all that can be quantified as a study or research, to use the paper's own wording, it IS bullshit.

I don’t fall for political bull, only partisan people do.

In fact, political partisanship often makes people blind and stupid.

The reason that I would give, why this should have been expected, is that Conservatives' ideas are more rigidly fixed, than those of non Conservatives. This can only mean that their world views must contain more assumption, in order to meet their expectations-- how could it be otherwise? So, more readily making assumptions, will necessarily cause more "reading into," nonspecific statements: what those statements mean, to those who are not open to multiple options, of what it might mean, for example, to love one's country.

For another instance-- in a case of a war, against which people are protesting, any vague reference to patriots, would be unclear to the more liberal minded person, who can recognize this kind of protest, as being just as patriotic, as going off to war. For the Conservative, however, the soldiers, in that scenario, would always be the only ones, to whom the word "patriots," would be applying.
Therefore, the speaker's intent, to them, would be as clear as day.

Who defines what political BS is?

These folks are clearly leftists so anything they disagree with will be considered, by them, as BS. So there is that.

The truth is most mega wealthy elitists are leftists or prefer the leftists beliefs. This is because it is much easier to use the liberal progressive ideas to enrich themselves.

    Think about it.

The elites hate religion. Why? Because it is much more difficult to use to control others the way they want to control them. Christianity has the Bible which defines morality. With leftists morality is defined by "feelings". Then there is clergy that guide folks. Wealthy elitists want to guide folks. They own the media and use it to broadcast their propaganda. Leftists eat that crap up.

Wealthy elitists hate democracy. They do not want folks to make decisions. The elitists want to make decisions for everyone. Liberals pretend to like democracy but they do not.

So it is the progressive liberals that fall for the BS.

It’s probably more to do with the way they define political bullshit. They assert claims like “We love our country” as being political bullshit. Whereas they say nothing about “We are going to fight for the climate” or something to that effect as being political bullshit.

Which anyone who read this “scientists” intro will know he’s not only politically biased but an inarticulate moron.

    Kaaaaa Booooommmm! :)

And, 3/10 of these 'very fine people" will open their wallets/purses and give millions to a self proclaimed "billionaire" in America, of all places, because they all suffer from "I am a victim because of (pick you EXTERNAL reason and insert here)" mentality. That's the part I find even more amusing and yes, it's still very dangerous.

Sure. Are you going to vote democrat or Republican in a month?

You can give me your state and we can go race by race if you’d like. But you don’t wanna do that. Do ya?

Nah because you’d rather sit here and tell everyone how you’re an independent when if we go down the list you’ll be voting… if not straight ticket democrat, damn near it.

You made comments about me as opposed to the topic, and I am asking you to back up your claim, or admit that you are a habitual liar.

    Oh goodie personal attacks.

Now, like the election, would you like to let us investigate your upcoming vote? Or would you like to stonewall the investigation and refuse to answer who you’re going to vote for in the upcoming election because you know you’re going to prove me right while you sit here and call me a liar?

I’m happy to prove it. All you have to do is answer about 5 questions. They’re super short and easy. No worries.

What state do you live in? Then 4 questions about candidates you’re voting for and not voting for. Or we can go down the whole list.

I would like YOU to back up YOUR bs. You have a history of making false claims about other posters, and you chose to do it again as opposed to discussing the topic.

After that you van investigate whatever the heck you want.

You lied, so you ARE a liar. I gave you a chance to prove that you are not a liar, but obviously you cannot. As for voting, I do no plan to participate in a system which has been rejected by half the nation. What's the point? People vote, and then claim fraud when they lose.

Ok, so please back up the claims you made about me, or admit you lied.

If you were happy to do it, you would have done it already, but you can't because you KNOW you made it up.
