. . . YES. What rock have you been living under that you didn't know something this blatantly obvious? I can't tell if you are being serious or not at this point. China HATED the TPP and wanted us to abandon it . . . for reasons that should be obvious to anyone who didn't fall asleep in their high school econ classes.

Trade creates wealth. Econ 101. Learn.

Umm YEAH! You can't be that out of touch with reality.

False. Un(or less) fettered access to markets is not a bad deal for American workers and certainly not a bad deal for manufacturing.

And you name three GOPers lol. Can't make it up. Like I said, you are not a Republican.

This is just dumb. Reagan and every other Republican worth their salt are/were staunch supporters of free trade. Your isolationist position is an antiquated relic that the party jettisoned decades ago. We know it doesn't work!

    You kinda got it BUT

Reagan gutted taxes on the rich so greatly he had to increase taxes on the working man, AS he blew up the deficit by 400%, by the end of his term US debt increased by 296%

Clinton created 3 new tax brackets and took the top rate from 31% HWB gave US to 39.6%, Clinton oversaw 4 surpluses, 3 after vetoing the GOP's $792+ billion tax cut

Then Dubya came into office and gave US that tax cut AND then some, gutting revenues. 9/11 happened (Dubya ignoring warnings) and Dubya went to war in Afghanistan, of course by 2004 Dubya/GOP decided the US wasn't "starving the best" enough so they passed ANOTHER huge tax cut. Later in 2003 Dubya decided, on false premises, to go into Iraq.

If all this wasn't enough, Dubya/GOP passed a Medicare expansion, Medicare Part D (prescription drugs) in time for the 2004 election, in the middle of the night without a single penny of new revenues. This year Medicare part D, paid from general revenues will top $110 billion

Then Obama came into office after Dubya and his cheering on the Banksters ponzi scheme (2003-2007) , he called it the "home ownership society", where he fought all 50 states who wanted to regulate "subprime lending".

Care to guess what Obama did? Yep Obamacares, 100% funded, brought down the deficits partially by ending Dubya's tax cuts on those making over $200,000, families $400,000 AND GOOD FISCAL DISCLIPINE

Then Trump came into office and started spending and gutting taxes to the rich by over $2 trillion

Yeah, it's the Dems *shaking head*

Explain why it was "bad". When you have time, I also want an explanation why the Iran agreement was "bad".

I won't disagree on the amount of spending the GOP did. Cutting taxes IS a good idea but not if you don't also cut the budget. Anyway, we are discussing trade and the GOP wins this debate in a landslide (at least we did before trump).

Know what's bad for US workers? The GOP gutting taxes on the foreign "job creators"

If you have GOOD POLICY like high taxes on the rich, you give them incentives to reinvest profits with their Biz VS taking it out at 20% and gambling on wall street or creating jobs inn China.

The courts stopped Biden era immigration UNTIL August 2022. Until that point he didn't have his policy in place. THINK

Divided court declines to reinstate Biden’s immigration guidelines, sets case for argument this fall
The Supreme Court won’t allow the Biden administration to implement a policy that prioritizes deportation of people in the country illegally who pose the greatest public safety risk.

Supreme Court rules Biden administration can end “remain in Mexico” policy, sending case back to a Texas court

Bingo, which not Ronnie, Dubya or Trump did, but the opposite all 3 blew it up.

If I remember correctly about 7-8 years ago a study showed over 80% of debt was tied directly to Reagan and Dubya tax cuts, policies passed by Ronnie and Dubya, that were, for the most part unfunded. That was before the costs of Dubya's last recession

I'm a small business owner. Like every freaking other small business owner, our operating entity is a pass-through entity for tax purposes. This means that our income is taxed at an individual rate, not a corporate rate.

A refund/tax savings go into my personal pocket, not my business pocket. You don't use your own personal money to "hire people". That's a load of crap pushed by the GOP for decades now. It just isn't true.

You only hire people when someone leaves employment or when you need to meet demand from clients/customers. That's how the real world works, not the fantasyland world Trumpers live in.

    Again, Kinda

From 1945-1980 the top 1% received 6%-10% of ALL US income, last year it was 22%, as their EFFECTIVE tax rate plummeted they took a MUCH greater share of the pie

Capital gains and dividends every year, over 50% go to a select few. Over 50% of ALL capital gains and dividends go to 1/10th of 1% of US. That's about 100,000 families

Yes, President Trump made many predictions. He made prediction that:
Mexico will pay for the wall
The coronavirus is a Democrats hoax which will miraculously disappear in April
That he will reveal his tax returns
That when elected he will not play golf, only work his ass off

That to fight the coronavirus we need to take injections with disinfectants and expose ourselves to the UV light

I would call President Trump America Nostradamus!

And if we keep voting for Democrats, they will destroy this country as they have worked so hard to do since they took back the House in the 2018 election.

Why does it matter who the leader is as long as he gets it done? I couldn't care less if it was Trump, Biden, DeSantis, or AOC. If they enacted policies like Trump, I'd fully support them. Trump did a lot of good things from tax cuts to tariffs to the USMCA, but you're only concerned more about an immigration plan and a new healthcare plan not coming to fruition. Methinks you may hate Trump more than you like to see this country flourish.

One, people don't become multimillionaires and stay multimillionaires by being stupid. Two, when Trump continued things obama had done, like the travel bans from high terror alert countries, Trump was blasted as being a racist. There never was and never will be a win/win for him. Too many sour pickles hate him without reason.

That is the bottom line and the never Trump GOP are worse than the worst of the democrats on that count. They should just become democrats already.

Tariffs are the opposite of tax cuts. And Trump's unconstitutional tariffs were completely idiotic.

A lot of GOPers are not on our side, dude. WAKE UP.

Ever wonder why Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump are so staunchly loved by their supporters and why Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton are so staunchly hated by pretty much everyone? It is largely because Bernie and Donald both understand that we are getting screwed over on national trade, and that stance appeals to the economic interests of Main Street, meanwhile Jeb and Hillary view us as expendable pawns, and that stance appeals to the economic interests of Wall Street.

You really need to set aside your RNC tribalism, just as liberals need to set aside their DNC tribalism. BOTH private clubs SUUUUUCK, dude.

They brought jobs back to the US because businesses came back and it helped the black people and women reach historic lows in unemployment, but yeah, democrats don't want prosperous, independent people so I can see why you think it was idiotic.

I knew it wouldn't take the left long to claim Trump and Trump supporters hate the Constitution. Y'all just can't help yourselves with your psychological projections and it makes you easier to read than a Dick & Jane book.

Tariffs don't bring net jobs back. Black employment was on an upward trend before Trump ever took office and remained on the same trend. Again: Trump and his supporters are incapable of reading graphs. And, once again, I'm to the right of you and Trump on economics. It isn't just me calling this **** idiotic: it's pretty much everyone who has passed econ 101.
