Another load of crap based on no reality.

A self-proclaimed know-it-all hasn't read anything about the American Revolution it seems. The battle for Boston. Knox. Greene. These wouldn't have even been let into the U.S. NAZI-like forces much less be Generals. But they were our best. . . and they've done something U.S. Generals can't seems to do - Win a War.

Training helps to a point but even the U.S. only spends a month training an infantryman after basic.

    What is Russia actually missing.

    1. Logistics.

    2. Equipment.

I never suggested that you are from Botswana, but the truth is that judging by grammar errors I see in your postings I thought you are not from the US or you had very poor education.
So if the only thing I was wrong about is you it you being 'Botswanan' it makes me very happy - I understood the genius who knows history better than Western universities and who know war as good, or maybe better than Sun Tzu!
And yes, I lived in Poland too.

You cannot convince idiots, so instead of arguing - agree with them, making their ideas even more stupid.

I heard they get a week of training before being sent to Ukraine to die, but the WW1 rifles appear to be correct.

Anyway, those so called ruZZian people's republics will come to an end.
    :)

I actually agree on that. WW1 rifles does sound silly. WW2 sounds far more likely.

I'm betting on the "run away" option.

Yah buddy I know :) and that wasn't a sneer -- bewilderment would be a better term. The WW2 comment was to show how nonsensical ww1 comment was .. as ww2 is nonsensical ... so .. what was it that excuses this historical failure ?

    Older than AK-47, actually.
The obsolete WWII rifles with which Russia is arming recruits ...

May 16, 2022 — Equipping Donbas recruits with bolt-action rifles is branding them as cannon fodder. With these things, Russia seems determined to depopulate ..

Didn't legendary WW1 hero Sargent York use a bolt action rifle?

Your sample of fat lazy tourists you've encountered in your life is not a representative sample.
    What I'm saying is that 1) no one disregards the fact of its occurrence, they just don't suffer guilt for actions they never took against people they never knew; and many still obsess over it to a literally insane degree; 2) you're a bit biased so I'm not surprised you hold this position;

Most American tourists abroad are neither fat nor lazy.

Hmmm. I have spent nearly twenty years of my life outside the US. Seen quite a few tourists.

Sgt. York didn't have to contend with 21st century mechanized warfare, air strikes, HIMARS, and drones... abEAh.gif

True. But bolt action rifles still tend to be highly accurate.
