    beyond the fact that OF COURSE most people would have preferred independance looking to have trade and influence from both east and west as oppossed to just being part of Russia as they were with the soviet union.

    Do you have any logic reason to suggest to me that the people wouldn't want both trade and influence from both east and west while going back to being independant? Something that they were before in history.

    I'd love for you to give me a believable reason as to why a country that was once independant, wouldn't want to be so again especially after having the experience they had with the soviet union?

    Oh no no no...you don't get to hand wave that off. That which started this entire mess. Ukraine was absolutely happy with it's regained independance. It wasn't until the militias came in to disrupt the joint allowing Putin to convince idiots of a Nazi invasion and roll in his tanks because he wanted his port city back and needed a land path to it.

    If this were truly about protecting Russians he would have acted like any other sane leader and allowed quick paths to citizenship which would be both humanitarian and respected Russia's past declarations and promises and not infrindging on another countrie's soverienty.

    You have no logical ground to walk on here.

    Land grab. nothing more.

    And that's the dumbest rumor ever started by the west. They have these things called "valves" in Russia they can simply turn to the right...that turns off the gas. Ask yourself, why haven't they sabotaged the pipelines running through "the ukraine" to Europe? Hmmm hmmm? When will they blow up the pipeline that runs under the Black Sea?? Hmmm?

    What a stupid ****ing rumor. The US did it.

    Last night Tucker Carlson opened his show with this story. He provided video footage showing Joe Biden specifically saying that given certain conditions the US would take out the pipeline. He showed another video of Victoria Nuland saying the very same thing.

    I'm letting Occam's Razor help me decide who did it.

    Russians also shelled Civilians in Donbass before February's invasion by Russia. It has been noted by the United Nations that Russia was just as complicit.
