Biden should fully expect DeSantis to come groveling on his hands and knees (if Florida ever expects to see a penny of Federal Aid)...
And, IF DeSantis won't bow down to Biden (to get Aid for the Hurricane Devastation) then Floridians should vote that Coward DeSantis out...

How about just saying thank you when you get the help, or is that a crime in FL.

The hurricane Sandy relief was full of pork! Do your research.

That had zero to do with what I said. Why are you acting like it's you against Florida?

And to add to that...Hurricane Sandy money allotted from this bill was used for tourism marketing which starred The Govenor during his election campaign. The "relief" was a corrupt slush fund.

Santis was 100% right to be against it. It's dishonest for liberals and the liberal Media to equate disaster relief due all states in need with the pork ridden legislated Hurricane Sandy bill. Santis isn't asking for a special vote to create a slush fund.

And I'm saying you won't find a single politician that opposes disaster relief as is claimed in this thread.

I've proven this thread was based on a lie. The thread title is a lie. That was my point and I've made it.

Dems resorting to lying about DeSantis is very telling. They see the writing on the wall for the mid-terms and what's coming in 2024. Identifying all Republicans as fascists will work out well for Biden next year..lol

    Yes it was.

I would like a list of what's in each spending bill made easily available to the public in a format that is easy to follow. I would also like congress to stop naming bills when there's a ton more in each bill. Every single spending bill has a ton extra spending that has nothing to do with whatever the title implies the bill is for.

Yep, now if only Trump supporters and Republicans could do the same, maybe we can get some things done.

Yes there are cheats everywhere, same thing in my area after Sandy. Doesn't mean we should hold up support when someone else is harshly affected by any storm, and most certainly not over politics.

H.R.152 - Making supplemental appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2013, to improve and streamline disaster assistance for Hurricane Sandy, and for other purposes.

Yeah, I think its those other purposes they voted against. But as per usual, the leftist media doesn't want to tell the entire story.

Of course, the only difference is that, this time, the aid is for his state (and so will be a reflection, to the voters, on him) and Sandy aid was for the Bluer, northeastern states, the citizens of which, this G. D. hypocrite apparently does not see as worthy of being treated like other Americans, despite that he obviously intends to run for the office of President of all of us, real Americans and Blue State citizens-- which are not all Democrats, btw-- alike.

I wish it was only DeSantis who was such a disingenuous fraudster; unfortunately, this is true of those many other Republicans your OP mentions who also voted against Sandy aid; I can guarantee you, when it is for their own state, they will sing a different tune. This also points to the falsehood that many in the middle accept, that
all politicians are liars/both Parties are equally bad. I challenge all those who ascribe to this theory, to point to an example of the fundamental two- facedness, on the part of Democrats, as egregious as it is, when it comes to providing the same sort of disaster relief to other states as one would wish to receive for one's own constituents.

    Do unto others?

You should've read through the thread. This lie of a talking point has already been disproven many times over.

Desantis is asking for funds to help with the natural disaster, he's not asking for an assload of pork to be attached to a bill that has nothing to do with disaster relief, which is what was the problem with the Sandy bill.

Yep, that's the difference between Republicans and Democrats. Democrats generally approve of government spending to help ALL people in need. Republicans only approve of government spending for the people in need that THEY approve of.

So only democrats have donated? That seems to be what you just hinted at. Where did you get such information?

    Sure, if you say so.

If I read through the rest of the thread-- a link to a particular post would have been appreciated, btw-- will I find evidence that any of these 67 Republican aid- deniers, who really wanted to help people out, but for the "pork" that Democrats had slipped into the bill, had offered amendments which identified and stripped out these funds, unrelated to disaster relief (so they could vote "yes," in good conscience)?

Don't squirm out of this one. Government spending is often the least responsible, and often full of pork. You mentioned donating at church, then twisted it to government spending.

If I donate to a cause, I prefer donating to a small private group that is more likely to get help where it's directly needed and directly to the people who need it. Government spending may make it to some, a couple years from now which is long after the immediate need. That's why the cajun navy came to be. They got tired of waiting for officials to get people out of the flood waters in 2016 and a group of locals took matters into their own hands. They've now helped in most floods and hurricanes since.

So again, are you stating the republicans don't help those in need?

They sure did fight against it after Sandy. I suggest you reread how they treated Gov Christie because he was with Obama going over the damage.

Or are you going to have an alternate memory.?
