    Totally...

This 60% of Americans Living Paycheck-to-Paycheck is the worst situation in the history of the World.
Biden's USA is on the verge of Mile-Long Soup Lines...
Biden's "Inflation" makes conditions during the Great Depression look like the Halcyon Days of Roman Bread and Circuses.
Hell, compared to "Biden's America" the Slums of Calcutta look like the High-Rent District of Dubai.
As far as "NEVER voting for Any Democrat Ever again"...
Even in an election where Only Democratic Candidates are on the ballot and there in No "Write-In" Option.
A person with a perfect voting record (showing up to vote in every election since age 18.) would have to sit it out.
    Besides, Everybody KNOWS:
Inflation is ALL The Dems. Fault.
Every Democratic Vote in American History (Dating back to those Democrats who first voted for Thomas Jefferson) caused this Unheard of INFLATION!
Anybody whoever voted for any Democratic Candidate (Including President, Senator, Congressman, State, Local, Etc.), in the History of the United States (back to the days of Thomas Jefferson) OWNS This Inflation!
    This is ALL Their Fault!
    INFLATION! Consequences! Common Folk!
And, this Scourge of Inflation is ALL The Dems. Fault!
So, the next time you vote--Do NOT Vote Dem!
The Dems Caused this Rampant Inflation.
    Consequences! Common Folk!
    Remember:
Inflation is ALL The Dems. Fault!
    Just Like
    Unexpected Car Problems...
Your Fave team Losing the Big Game...
    Unfortunate Health Problems...
    Random Industrial Accidents...
    Rain on Parade Day...
    ^Are ALL The Dems Fault!
So, to Recap, In Case You Missed It:
    Inflation!
    Consequences for Common Folk!
    ^ALL THE DEMS FAULT!

    Anyway, just remember:
IF Trump had been Re-Elected Gas would be 99 Cents a Gallon, Putin would have never invaded Ukraine, Unicorn Farts would have solved Global Warming.
    BUT!
    Inflation! Consequences! Common Folk!
    DEMS BAD!

Taxes, SALT specifically. I do my own taxes, have for 40 yrs, I even itemize, have been a 1099 employee, and even had a side business, an LLC.

They have to to keep up with inflation else we will have a recession........
"After-tax profits as a share of gross value added for non-financial corporations, a measure of aggregate profit margins, improved in the second quarter to 15.5%"

Not on the price of goods sold.

I would offer the advice that the next time the Dems throw some money at you, then you should use it to pay down your credit card debt. But, according to the chart in the OP's link, the amount of personal debt is down from a few years ago (though it's going up a little now).

This month of October 2022 is the time of the year that the student loan forgiveness form is supposed to be out. So, we should see a little lowering of the debt burden college-educated folks carry.

--- Oh, and just to add on a personal note, we finally got the soil delivery to my Dad's greenhouse business. It might even have been the delivery that we didn't get this year and caused our prices to go up. That means we will be able to grow plants again, and that should lower the cost of growing flowers for the next Spring 2023 selling season. ---

Things in the economy are looking up and I think we'll see prices come down again next year. Just like we saw this year with gas prices. There are just a few kinks left in the economy that need to be worked out still, but I think we're nearing the home stretch.
    :)

Now who will get the credit???

I thought so. Why should taxpayers subsidize the interest on your house or your local taxes. It's your cost of living, not mine.

Every cent the bosses earn, is via the freely made choices of those on the ground.

The 'trickle' is one way, and it's ground up.

You still get to deduct up to 10g of state and local taxes. I guess you're not for taxing the rich huh. It was quiet the hit a couple years ago, but there's ways around it thanks to congress not fixing the code. Fork out a grand to an accountant and it'll save you big.

Yep, tell that to Floridians. Soon, all private home owners' and flood insurance will leave the FL market, and they'll be left with government-backed insurance to pick up the slack -- and bailout after future hurricanes. Of course, the government-backed insurance would be too expensive to afford, so it will be subsidized by you and me. It's all very predictable. It's also very predictable that the Trump-voting Floridians getting their government bailout will turn around and whine to get the oppressive government off their backs.

Which misery? You mean the % of Americans living paycheck to paycheck that hasn't changed since early 2020, when Trump was in office? Here is another link from Jan. 2019, when we had the supposed magical Trump economy:

78% Of Workers Live Paycheck To Paycheck

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/zackfr...paycheck-government-shutdown/?sh=58d7ed644f10

Where were you back then shedding crocodile tears about the misery of others? Oh, back then you were praising Trumponomics. Give me a break, you have no credibility.

Again, it's nice to see you laugh at the misery. Feel free to keep trying to justify the misery being felt. Full Democrat control since Jan 2021.

The thing is, even if inflation were the 0% that Biden claims, we would still have to continue paying the high prices we are paying now. Democrats have basically put us into a lose/lose situation, with the only way out seemingly is to purposely put the country into a recession. In other words, the only way to bring prices back down is to purposely put millions of Americans out of work.

Yep, that's the conundrum that the Fed chair is facing right now. Do YOU want to be in his chair right now? What would YOU do? What would YOU have done in 2020/early 2021, when the covid relief packages were approved? Would YOU have blocked those packages? Would YOU have accepted a much deeper recession in 2020 for the sake of preventing possible future inflation and a possible recession 2-3 years down the road? Difficult questions, and no Monday morning quarterbacking, please. It's easy to whine about inflation and interest rates, when the attitude is to have your cake and eat it too. As if politicians could 100% prevent all recessions. They can't. It's the market cycle. It was in 2001 and 2007, when the GOP was in control, and it is now, when the Dems are in control. If anyone has invented policies that can prevent recessions they should get a Nobel prize, it it that season right now.

2020? Why does that year ring a bell? Something huge must have happened then! Just can't put my finger on it! But for some reason, I feel like bowl of hot and sour bat soup with rice noodles ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Didn't look at the graph, did you? Otherwise you would have noticed that the first data point is from March 17 2020, BEFORE the pandemic hit. 65.7% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck in that month. I wonder if you and the OP were outraged about it. Oh, no, you weren't, because the great Trump economy supposedly made everyone rich. All a bunch of B$.

Ahhh, so you think they named the virus COVID-19 by mistake :) 2020 was the outbreak, and if you must, MARCH then LMFAO :) Your guy started in 2021 with a vaccine, but I digress :)

Democratic policies throw gas on the fire, such as being pro labor, anti-business, anti-oil, and pro-green, not to mention that if Biden hadn't let Afghanistan fall, Russia may have never invaded Ukraine. And, yes, democrats not only pushed through another stimulus package on their own but also the IRA. Yes, it's hard to turn the clock back on all of that but my statement still stands. More democratic policies will lead to further ruin and with about 80% of Americans thinking the country is going in the wrong direction, democrats want to continue going in this same direction!

Well if Trump supporters would just apply some 6th grade math to that issue, they just might realize that the SALT cap is negatively affecting their first time home buyers too.

If as a couple filing jointly you need more than a $25k tax write off, then that is an additional cost to you and your family.
I am against cutting your taxes beyond the ones Trump gave you. They were aimed at the middle class, not people leveraging their tax cuts to buy more home than they can afford.
You should consider your high taxes to be a barometer of how successful you are and be grateful…. to Trump!
