That's how you were instructed to feel about it, but was never about that.

Serious people often do things which are inconvenient or even painful because of principle.

Everyone purchases things based on politic. It's our elected officials that decide which businesses, products and services can operate within our country, states, cities, towns and neighborhoods. So, whoever/whatever you vote for already makes that choice for you.

And, yes I have, do and will continue to boycott businesses that do not align with my moral, values and ethics and spend my money where they are most aligned.

Yes. Definitely, I won't go near a Home Depot. I already didn't buy super expensive pillows with an F rating from Consumer reports but won't even look at his shoes or sheets either.

Actually, not around here, but maybe around you.

We have every color of the LGBT** spectrum, along with Christian school graduates, bars and restaurants that cater to one, the other or both, stores and establishments of every variety. We are known as a Conservative state, but we also have plenty of Liberals.

I don't care what someone's political position is, as I said previously. If they have what I want at a fair price, and don't attempt to inject politics into their business, I'm fine with it. I consider the actions of the individual - do they treat other people as equals? That is all that matters.

Your dollar is more powerful than your vote. I don't give a crap what politicians say, but I am careful to avoid funding things I oppose.

I agree. The one buying decision I routinely make such a basis is I will not buy anything made in China if I have an alternative, even if I have to pay more.

Yes and no for me. I really don't care about left right stuff in terms of purchases, etc. I did stop buying Mexican avocado though due the the various on the ground bad things going on in that industry in Mexico.

Ever since Nike started taking Colin Kaepernick under 'its wing', I have bought NOTHING from them. For years I bought only Nike Air Monarch athletic shoes... but until they off-load this pathetic. 'nowhere' clown, I'll never buy anything from Nike again....

They didn’t really do half of what the right was saying they did, most of it was directed at Christian athletic organizations which I have no issues with.

They have also stopped those donations and are funding more black owned organizations according to the most recent article I can find.

There shakes are meh and there are better options for chicken as well — they have good food no doubt but the cult following is strange to me. But cultism is seen everywhere anymore so why not have it for extremely unhealthy fast food as well.

you can get in, place your order and get out in minutes. That is why so many patronize the place. The food is also good from a fast-food perspective. The shakes too again from a fast-food perspective. But why do they think we want a damn pickle in our chicken sandwich?

I had a co-worker, a long time John Birch Society member, who would never ever buy anything unless it was Made In USA. One year he won the 'employee of the year' award and was given a present, and he refused it because it was not made in US. Also, he has trouble finding eye-glasses that were made in US and ended up buying a used pair which looked horrible.

First off let me say any business that gets involved in politics, I think is stupid as it may affect their bottom line. If they do, they may benefit or hurt their business. Their choice though. No, politics never entered where and what I buy. I buy what I need wherever I can get it.

Now I will avoid some stores for the service they provide. Walmart in particularly. They don’t care if they have 50 people standing in line at check out, they refuse to open other registers for some reason preferring everyone uses the self-check out registers which also has long lines. They won’t get my business unless there is no other store to get what I want or need. But this isn’t political. Apparently having only 2 cash registers open out of 25 doesn’t hurt their business, there’s always long lines there.

If it is set in an ethnic background of said race it’s not so bad. But I don’t have any grandkids but no I do not let my kids watch woke material even on Disney. I also don’t allow them to purchase music I disapprove of until they get their own money. I keep them more interested in hunting, motorcycles, musical instruments and so on than in movies and such anyway. But they definitely know where I stand on diversity arguments as well.

I’m not going to go out of my way to help someone feel good about themselves or advocate for their color when they already overly represent sports, commercials, and murders

"They" are POC and I believe you have rationalized your bigotry as a moral stand against "woke". Good thing for you the right latched on to that vague term so you can mold it to your purposes.

*correction* I have noticed their bigotry and your bigotry against whites. That’s not rationalizing bigotry it’s pointing it out.

The pickle is the best part — chicken brine is also pickle based. They are speedy and efficient, I have to give them that. And one of the very very very few fast food places that don’t have constant errors

The only things that influences my motivation to buy something is if I need it, if it makes life easier at my job (self employed), if it's for the home it adds/creates nicer living surroundings, and ultimately the perceived value determines which one I buy. Politicians, advertising, how many whites or blacks are in a film etc.. has diddly squat bearing on what I buy.

I got a MikePillow as a gift once, gave it to Goodwill. Not because of politics, it was a shitty pillow that smelled funny. Does that count?
