You are incorrect. The more power dems have, the more gun rights are restricted. You cannot defend a position that people are safer in dem controlled cities with strict gun control. In the case of vaccine mandates, the claims of protecting others turned out to be 100% false.

In both cases, dems support government interference in ones right to bodily autonomy while shaking the fist of hypocrisy at Repubs for their abortion laws. This is one issue that makes dems and reps hypocrites.

Of course they are different. There are many ways people supporting using government to impose their personal beliefs onto the rest of us. There are many differences between reps and dems. The one thing they all have in common is that they are all hypocrites when it comes to government overreach and abuse of power. Reps are no more pro-life than dems are pro-choice.

Put very succinctly. It should give his voters actually great pause. Because it is clear that he doesn't really believe in "pro-life", but that he is just pandering to the GOP base to get their vote.

 

So what? People change. Biden used to be against abortion and now he's for it. Conversely, why can't some be for abortion but now see it has wrong? Hey, I've got a suggestion. Make sure you hold everyone to your own standards instead of spouting rules for thee but not for me.

 

I wasn't referring to you, just your OP, and your suggestion that hypocrisy is somehow a partisan or party issue. I see precisely zero difference in restricting abortion for others and then buying one yourself vs restricting guns for others while hiring armed security, for example. Both are hypocritical, and also elitist- clearly these people think they're 'better' than those of us who have to follow the laws they make but arent effected by them themselves.

There are 19 people from a Uvalde elementary school who would disagree if they were still alive. There were 376 Police officers WITH guns there and they could stop one man with a gun from killing 19
