And why did NATO attack Libya? Another country that did not attack a NATO country?

I wonder if the population of Russian trolls in this forum will decrease because of Putin's mandatory draft for men for his war with Ukraine.

NATO is already on the midgets border. This isn't about NATO. This was. Aland grab because Russian ideology thinks that all of eastern Europe rightfully belongs to Russia.

Ukraine was in turmoil and corrupt and as such Putin saw an opening to sneak in his Wagner militia to destabilize regions to allow him a weak excuse at a land grab.

Stop using the NATO nonsense. The reality is that democracy trumps authoritarian regimes and when allowed an option, people would rather have the right to vote in whom they want.

If it were truly about not wanting NATO on his borders then surely the midget in charge would have realized that this one action would result in more neutral and soverieng nations that are smaller than Russia, joining NATO as a reaction to this aggression.

Because nobody wants to be ****ing Russian.

Why? I think most-- including in the military, and among the oligarchs-- want Putin to pull out.

If it doesnt, will you rethink your presumption that everyone opposed to foreign entaglements must be an enemy agent?

Not 1 inch eastward was a verbal promise Bush and Nato made to Gorbechev and the Soviet Union back in 1990. There is no more Soviet Union, which makes the promise null and void. Do you have anything else?

I mean it's not like you can present to me a MEMORANDUM signed by the leader of a nation to promise something and then reneg on that promise...can you?

    Because I can.

And why would such a promise be made to the former Soviet Union? What was offered by Gorbachev for that promise? The promises were made after Yeltsin took office and the Soviet Union had ended.

The declassified U.S. account of one key conversation on October 22, 1993, (Document 8) shows Secretary of State Warren Christopher assuring Yeltsin in Moscow that the Partnership for Peace was about including Russia together with all European countries, not creating a new membership list of just some European countries for NATO; and Yeltsin responding, “this is genius!”

Christopher later claimed in his memoir that Yeltsin misunderstood – perhaps from being drunk – the real message that the Partnership for Peace would in fact “lead to gradual expansion of NATO”;[1] but the actual American-written cable reporting the conversation supports subsequent Russian complaints about being misled.[2]

The promise was officially made between Bush...the elected leader of the United States to Gorbechev and the Soviet Union. Not the secretary of State to Yeltzin...

It's a dead promise of which cannot possibly be upheld as every single country has their own agency to do as they will. The Secretary of State of the United States cannot make that promise in a conversation to Yeltzin.

Dead promise. Nothing was ever signed. No memorandums...Russia is just going to have to suck it. If they feel the world caving in around them, that's called people choosing democracy over authoritarian governance. Maybe they should fix that?

I do not have that presumption. I merely suspect some are Russian trolls.
