Is it race based help or not? Was a defining characteristic of obtaining the aid not race? If it wasn’t you better tell the judges who knocked it down for discrimination.

another one is the point system during COVID which gave anyone an extra point if you were not white

another one is the recent aid Kamala Harris spoke of saying they would give assistance based on equity to minority communities first. Again basing government assistance off of race

This administration is the most racist admin we have had in decades

    "More like Europe"
    What's wrong with that?

"where government has much greater control"
Wrong. The French are known to boldly and frequently exercise their voice & power. And when they do so, they're dead serious and don't back down until they get what they want.
Pixie correctly stated to you: Given the number of strikes, demonstrations and go slows I can assure you the people of France have always exercised their democracy in a most emphatic fashion.
And speaking of frequent protests, I recall long ago hearing a French citizen say (tongue-in-cheek) in a documentary that, We French have a revolution every 6 months. (Or is it every "6 years"? I don't recall the exact words.)
You must not be very "freedom-loving" then if you support capitalism. Are you not aware of the "Golden Rule"? - Those with the Gold make all the Rules.
So the MAGA crowd must all be weak-minded, naive, and foolish. They do indeed seem lost without an authoritarian "savior" to lead them by the hand out of the clutches of their evil government----like the shepard and his herd.[/QUOTE]

It's more minority & low-income based----and not by intention, but by consequence due to systemic discriminatory practices.

If the nation wasn't founded on genocide, slavery, persecution, segregation, and xenophobia, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Even if such practices like slavery are gone, the social & psychological impact can still linger for a very long time. Considering America's history, it's not that easy for many white people to just stop believing/feeling they're the superior race (even if poor). This became all the more evident with the emergence of the MAGA crowd & Trump's election to the White House by the electoral college.

In its annual report, released Wednesday, the Southern Poverty Law Center said it identified 733 active hate groups in 2021, down from the 838 counted in 2020 and the 940 counted in 2019. Hate groups had risen to a historic high of 1,021 in 2018, said the law center, which tracks racism, xenophobia and far right militias.
Tell me exactly what was said or printed, rather than what the right-wing media claims was said----which is either a distortion or something pulled out of context.
I already covered this. Did you not read my last post?
That's funny, because Biden called Trump the most racist president we've ever had.

The judges didn’t come to that conclusion nor did the white farmers that brought the case

You need to explain why no democrat today would ever support such measures. Obviously, the mentality, policies, and agenda of the two parties have switched.

By the way, the vaccine mandates are due to ignorance by both parties. Most are unaware of the virus hoax & vaccine pseudoscience. Trump was promoting vaccines himself while in office, and would've complied with the CDC & NIH recommendations for mandates had he stayed in office. I know because he tried to take credit for rolling out fast vaccines.

In 1825, with the Clay/Adams faction of the Democratic-Republican Party splitting off to form the National Republicans, the Jacksonian faction remained and essentially morphed into the Democrat Party.

True and that is one, along with a "planned economy" that makes them similar. However, the methods for which achieving those ends differ. Mussolini was a Fascist and had race-based, mostly against Jews, policies that followed Nazi Germany. Hitler too was a fascist with those race-based policies with the "ultimate solution" as his final achievement to his policies. They were not communists who believe in equal opportunity. In the USSR, they had deadly women snipers, fighter and attack pilots, etc to help win their "The Great Patriotic War." But this link shows the 14 Characteristics of Fascism. They inlclude:
    1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism
    2. Disregard for Human Rights
    3. Identification of enemies as a unifying cause
    4. Supremecy of the Military
    5. Widespread sexism
    6. Controlled mass media
    7. Obsession with National Security
    8. Religion and Government are intertwined
    9. Corporate power is protected
    10. Labor power is suppressed
    11. Disrectful for the intellectuals and the arts
    12. Obsession with crime and punishment
    13. Rampant cronyism and corruption
    14. Fraudulent elections
the parts that I bolded is what MAGA people all have in common in their beliefs. The identification of enemies includes the media, Democrats, and anyone who is against their policies, the continuous use of the Flag, songs, slogans, and symbols in order to show their "patriotism," controlling the media, namely RW media as a unifying force to project their talking points, that Religion, namely their version of Christianity, and government are intertwined (That the Church should direct the Government argument), and disrespect for any person who is an intellectual or god forbid an actor, musician, or another container that questions their motives, and obsession with crime and punishment to those that do not follow their idealogy. That is the MAGA crowd in a nutshell. There are some who are misogynistic such as the GOP Michigan candidate, John Gibbs, who wants to repeal the 19th amendment and a few others. That in a nutshell is Fascism and its attributes.

Now, let's talk about the new PM Geogio Meloni, who praised Mussolini, is she a lefty now? You have got to be kidding me.

First of all, affirmative action is in fact racist. I didn’t read the link but affirmative action by design holds back people based on race. So if trump rolled it back I would give him a hat tip for it.

I will have to read the others

Definition of Equity - the quality of being fair and impartial [similar - fairness]

Perhaps a bit redundant, but they're the same.

It's not racist in the sense that there was any intent to harm or marginalize other races in favor of minorities. But I can agree Affirmative Action can be unfair at times. It was a noble effort, but there are better ways.

    Oy vey, lol...

You leftists are somethin else ;)

You believe in positive government - same as fascists, socialists, communists, and any other label of authoritarianism you can think of.

It doesn't matter what particulars they differ on, or argue over. In the end, they all believe, as do you, that the government should be empowered to do what you, or they, want - which is the fatal characteristic of the EU member states.

America was founded upon the principle of negative government - which of course was abandoned in the 1930's.

You seem to understand none of these things.

Democracy is fools gold. Democracies are inherently unstable and shortlived.

America was founded as a true republic in which the government was restricted by law and the people were left free to live their lives as they saw fit.

James Madison, the Father of our Constitution, wrote of democracy,

[IMG]“Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths."

that was the Democrat party who supported the items that I listed. You are welcome to believe the untruth that you do, but it doesn't change the facts. The Democrat party has a rich history of tyranny

The FedGov is not authorized by the Constitution to discriminate for or against anyone - and there's nothing "noble" about our government acting illegally in assuming powers it does not legitimately possess.

All it takes for Americans to wink approvingly at illegal behavior by our government is that they meant well??

Dangle a carrot embroidered with platitudes and anything goes??

Indeed, and so it goes. $31 trillion and thousands of micro laws later our nation and freedom are nearly exhausted.

Abandon principle in the name of convenience, "equity", or compromise, and liberty will shortly be at an end.

A citizenry that abandons the principles of freedom and limited government, for any reason, is easily manipulated into subjugation and serfdom. Nothing "noble" about that.

    History 101.

Communists don't believe in the people, either. Communists believe in the state. By the same token, neocons in the GOP don't believe in the people but believe in the state. Communists and neocons are very similar in that regard but I wouldn't want to be in the same room when Communists and neocons disagree.

Meanwhile people rush off to gun shops to protect thir democracy

Frankly I don't care what someone said 250 years ago. It doesn't make them right, merely part of à discussion.
Seeing as you think democracies are unstable, am I to take it that you prefer to overthrow it? What will you replace it with? Autocratic Trump?
Don't forget to create your brownie points now before he takes a dislike to you.
