I am very much a believer in learning lessons from history so we can agree to disagree on that.

The empire of US military bases has already spread to 130 countries. This is more than half of the world. Russia is trying to stop the spread of this cancer.

Not paying attention to accurate history will cause one to reinvent the wheel, communism, fascism, etc, with all the bugs, glitches, security loopholes and misery involved.
Pay attention to the putin apologists here, and you will notice their tired excuses for the land grab agenda have been tried before long before they were even born.

The comparison is a technique of communicating by using as little words as possible to retain attention while conveying a massive message.

Hi mate, your sentence sort of reinforces my thinking process...as you say all these precursors have been stated/utilised before....its all been done before....yet here we are! I suppose that generally history teaches us that unrestrained avaricious people of power tend towards aggression to fulfil their desires..... but that's a statement of the obvious irrespective of history...I don't know....I'll shut up I'm waffling...have a great day mate....:)
