The Democrats came up with a plan during the Obama administration, the Simpson Bowles Commission came up with recommendations to alter entitlement reforms, But it vanished so I don't know if that's still their plan or not.

What kind of world do you come from where everything works out perfectly as planned?

I say the stock market, because the common equivalent is a 401k for working class people. Though this has been changing, less and less people are getting such benefits.

Social security is not so much a tax as it is a benefits program. And it has been successful at reducing the elderly poverty rate dramatically.

Then what is your issue with social security? Besides being a fake lefty?

That it doesn't go to the needy. That this even needs explaining is both unsurprising and a never-ending disappointment.

When did Lefties become so privileged of mind that they didn't give half a sh!t about the impact of their 'coin tossing' on those most in need? Probably around the same time the Left was hijacked by Progressives.

Fake Lefty. Sure. If you need to believe that to make selling out to the aristocracy seem okay, you should hold fast.

It goes to the elderly to help them not face brutal poverty once capitalist society determines their value sub-suboptimal.

We could make a society where that’s not necessary, but we’re a hell of a long way from making that happen. Progressives are just liberals that support social issues. There’s no (real) party in existence that wants to change the fabric of economic justice.

Maybe you’re an accelerationist, but I find that a foolish endeavor. You’ve got to preserve the wins you have and look to make them better.

The gubmint ain't yo baby daddy! Can't feed it?
    Don't breed it!

Anyone taking government welfare that has a child that then goes on to have another one while taking welfare..... Should be forced to be sterilized in order to keep receiving welfare benefits.

Why Do Democrats Want Social Security To Go Bankrupt?

Debt is required for bankruptcy. Social Security is paid from the general fund. In order for it to go bankrupt, the government has to go bankrupt since it is the debtor. The idea was to have SS and Medicare covered by special taxes. It could be terminated or moved to the states but not bankrupted. It has been mismanaged by government since day one. It is what it is.

There are only two things that must happen with federal government. Firstly it must limit its activities to those enumerated in the constitution. Secondly, it must shut down our financial relationship with China. Instead it fusses around with every aspect of American life. Neither of my top two issues will happen. Voters, you got what you requested.

Welfare/Social Security is the spawn of capitalism. It IS capitalism. Your first point doesn't make sense for that reason.

What kind of society would obviate capitalism, that isn't totatalitarian?

Progressives are not in any way, shape, or form liberal. They're the opposite. They cannot tolerate diversity at all, and have no interest in 'live and let live'. And no, they don't support social issues either. They support the disenfranchisment of the common man via his steady decline into dependence and helplessness.

I'm just an old Commie, actually. And the wins I see our societies making today, almost all arise out of the empowerment of the common man. That robust framework which gives him power in the absence of wealth - property, family, community, industry. The wins are definitely not coming from your Progressive-friendly overlords. They send only that which will undermine the aforementioned framework.

    That would be cool!

But I think a less dramatic solution would be to simply deduct dollars with each additional kid, instead of increasing them. It would be no different to losing welfare dollars if you work more. Exactly the same principal, actually.

to help promote Anarchy, certain things need to crash. That's why democrat politicians took over things like social security so many years ago.

in order to achieve their Socialist utopia where everyone relies on them, they must do things like ruin Social security.
