I think greedy speculators being driven out of the residential housing market because of the economic downturn is good news and a silver lining in that cloud because real families will be able to get on the housing ladder more easily.
I’m not interested in wasting time on your typically narrow partisan agenda.

Do you believe that people have a "right to housing" ?

I get it, you're pro Russia and love Putin.
What poor countries are you referring to? Yeah, it does hurt the global economy but you seem to be missing the point of why it's being done. What you're saying is let Russia have Ukraine, what do we care which means you don't understand politics.
    No, we're not
There's nothing for me to accept so, no, it's not hard
Clearly it's hard for you to accept facts.

Heh, yea oil companies typically build multi billion dollar pipelines because they make no difference. Halting and slowing the permit process was included in the first set of EO's Brandon signed. And Brandon begging OPEC to increase production is on the record.

So how about you stop. Stop denying quotes from Democrat officials, stop denying actions taken by the Brandon Administration, stop denying things that are a matter of public record, and stop denying that being anti-fossil fuels is LITERALLY one of the cornerstones of the prog agenda. What are you going to try and convince me of next, Roy, that progs don't want to restrict firearms?

When the pipeline's not finished, it doesn't affect anything. How did you misinterpret that?
And what EO was that? Please name it. You won't because you can't.
Oh good, you have a record of that. Why didn't you show it? Please do.
Yet you have not shown any proof of these "public records".
I don't know anything about any "prog agenda" but no one is "anti-fossil fuels" but, unllike you, know that the camels are on the horizon and the time of fossil fuels is fast coming to a close. Accept that fact and your life will be easier.
Only fools don't want to restrict firerms.

How did you misinterpret the purpose of building the damn pipeline in the first place? WE NEEDED IT! The oil companies weren't building in just to hope and see if it would be profitable at some point. They knew demand justified its construction. The demand didn't go away just because ol' hair sniffer scrubbed the build. This dumb decision + dozens of others brought us ~$6/gal gas prices (oh and they're coming back enjoy your winter heating bill ).

Here's one of the EOs assaulting domestic oil production: https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing...ckling-the-climate-crisis-at-home-and-abroad/

    Heres Brandon' begging KSA: https://nypost.com/2022/10/11/biden-admin-begged-saudis-to-push-oil-cut-until-after-midterms-report/

Here's the prog agenda, literally says transform our energy sector https://progressives.house.gov/the-people-s-agenda

Cant wait to see how you deny all these.

Side note - someone explain to me why progs are like this. So proud to be progs, so beligerent in their enforcement of the prog agenda UNTIL you repeat the agenda back to them then its oh no no no that's not who we are or what we want. We're going to start calling this the LibsOfTikTok phenomenon after the account that literally does nothing but re-posts the videos progs willfully post themselves and then upon seeing their own moronic insanity on display they want it taken down.

PS as far as life being easier. Puts on the telegraphed destruction brought about by the prog agenda has made life very very, verrrry easy. The incoming recession and housing collapse will basically make life top 10% tier easy. So thanks. How'd you make out?

Why cant you accept that you are debating something you know obviously know nothing about.

    1. The Keystone XL was a SHORTCUT of an existing pipeline. IN NO WAY would it increase the amount of oil delivered to the gulf coast.

    2. You have been shown multiple times that the reason gas prices are up is because that increase goes directly to profits. The oil companies are breaking their profit records each quarter.

    3. If Biden has a war on oil companies, he is looking it ridiculously bad because they are reporting BILLIONS in profits every quarter.

So your saying you think that the US government should subsidize the oil companies who are reporting BILLIONS in profits every quarter ? Thats all he says in the EO is that the federal government will no longer subsidize these companies who are already making billion every quarter. DO you think he is wrong ?

So your chastising Biden for trying to get lower gas prices ? You cant make this crap up with a team of writers !!!! Did you even ready what it was ? The Saudis wanted to CUT production to keep prices high and increase their incomes thru better profit margins.

Funny how everyone on the rigth cheered when Trump gave away over $4 Trillion in stimulus, but when Biden gives away 1/10th of that in stimulus, they loose their minds and start screaming about the economy

    1. In the prog mind oil flows directly and instantly from the ground to the gas tank; in reality strategic deployment is how refining satisfies demand.

    2. I 'have been shown' prog idiocy - nothing more. The prog rhetoric about 'record profits' shows just how worthless the value of their so called higher education is. If demand goes up durrr so too will sales durrrrr so too will revenue durrrrrrrrr so too will profits. Did you expect the world's energy providers to make less money even as the world's energy needs skyrocket? Maybe if prog schools taught economic concepts instead of 'my birthing person has a penis' ideology then fewer progs would embarrass themselves pushing this joke of an argument.

    3. Oh please what doesn't Brandon look ridiculously bad at? The hair sniffing pedo needs a cue card to tell him to sit down, another one to tell him to look at the camera, and another one to tell him to ask a question - and no that's not hyperbole, its literal fact because he's shown us the damn cards!

    4. We "subsidize" energy exploration and distribution primarily by way of taxed extraction exemption. In other words we aren't actually paying oil companies, we're just telling them they don't have to pay us as much. Progs call it a subsidy because, well, they're dumb. BTW we also "subsidize" health care, farming, housing the same way but you don't see progs throwing stink logs over that. Oh and if you want to see actual subsidzies, aka the taking of tax payer monies and handing it directly over to energy companies, well look no further than your glorious green tech sector - those mother ****ers are subsidized despite not delivering viable products.

    5. Brandon's attempt to get KSA/OPEC to produce more oil wasn't wrong in and of itself. It was the fact that a) we had to ask them in the first place since we could have and should have been able to do it ourselves (ya know, if progs hadn't been shutting down pipelines and slow walking oil leases), and b) that he spent the first year **** talking the Kingdom's ruler who herp-de-derp wasn't interested in helping us... for some reason.

No, we didn't NEED it and the company that proposed it caluclated badly which is why they walked away from it.(they did you know). As far as demand, you DO KNOW that whatever oil would have gone through it has always and is still getting to the same places. Amazing, isn't it. Regardless, it has NOTHING to do with the price of gas.
Yep, that's an EO.......where in it is the "war on fossil fuels". Yeah, there is a "pause" put on leases but they knew that was coming that's why the got all their leases under Trump.
Begging? Hardly and why did the Saudi's say "NO"......to continue their FU to Trump for crashing the market when Trump said he was going to get oil from Iran....and then didn't. A real "stable genius" move there but go ahead and blame Biden, doesn't change the fact that the present problems have nothing to do with Biden policies.
Ahhh yes, the Progressive Caucus. They have their own ideas just like The Freedom Caucus. So what, it ain't policy...just ideas of what policies THEY want.
I don't deny any of what you put but, like I said before, a lot of sound and fury meaning nothing.
Biden and Obama were better for the oil and gas industry then Trump ever was or would be and better than Bush was.

Basic flow dynamics eludes you. The “XL” shortcut actually connects 2 sections of the pipe in the middle of the country. Yet this “shortcut” still uses 90% of the origin pipeline. Now please explain how the original sections of the pipeline can now carry MORE oil.

Well since demand for gasoline has dropped 4% this year alone, your just making things up. But when you look at total uses of oil, the demand is actually even with 2021, and yet the oil companies are still setting record profits every quarter. I would agree with you IF demand was growing at the same rate, yet it is not.

And yet he is still more effective than Trump was

Thats a distinction without a difference.

And yes, the green sector get subsides also, but thats to DEVELOP new sources of energy. Completely different critter there and you know it

FTR, I’m against most all subsidies to private companies as the market should define winners and loosers

Odd how you were silent when Trump did it…..

All due respect, but you do not understand how oil is priced and why we aren’t “energy independent”. YES, we produce enough oil to be energy independent, but we NEVER will be because oil is a global commodity that US companies want to sell on that open market and make more money. NOW, even IF we told every US oil company that they are required to sell their product ONLY n the US market, they may do that, but they would do it at the prevailing price of the world markets. Do you honestly think those companies would sell their product for less money than they can get on the world market just to be patriotic ?

Where did I say the “record profits” were measured in 2 year segments ? These are ALL TIME RECORD PROFITS.

2019-2020 have absolutly nothing to do with this

Of course it does everything doesn't reset on Jan 1. They habe huge losses to make up. Get inflation down and watch the numbers fall. What profit margin is "too high"?

"Oil and Gas Drilling Profit Margin
In Q4 2021, the average net margin for oil and gas production was 31.3% according to CSIMarket. That was up from 3.2% in Q3, -1.4% in Q2 and -22% in Q1, for a 12-month trailing average of 4.7%."

LET’S GO BRANDON: The coming housing crisis.

'the US needs 6.8 million more housing units than it currently has just to keep up with replacement levels and population growth. Aka, we are in a massive shortage in the housing market, which has led to the infamous skyrocketing prices and the run on mortgages we experienced throughout the pandemic.'

    Inadequate supply drives inflation.

As the desperate Fed is jacking up interest rates in the aftermath of Biden/Dems Red Ink Orgy and vicious attack on the US energy sector, 'the housing shortage crisis is about to get a whole lot worse, meaning prices won’t come down and buying a home won’t get easier.'

Yet another government engineered shortage of supply: 'government makes it really hard and expensive to build via terrible policies like zoning, historical overlays, and expensive regulatory and coding approval processes.'

'Such policies slow builders down, and the associated costs get passed onto the consumer in the final price.'

The wealthy gentry will do fine, the rest of us, not so much: 'All in all, this means the housing shortage will continue to worsen in this country. Only the wealthy will be able to afford the higher interest rates and the spike in mortgages as demand steadily outstrips supply. People living on the margins will have an even harder time meeting their basic needs, and the middle class will increasingly find the American Dream out of reach—like a fragmented, fuzzy remembrance of a happy dream you can’t quite recall.'

Less than 24 months and voters will have another opportunity to put pro-supply rather than pro-austerity folks into place to represent us.

The solution is a 'truly free market with a very limited government.'
