the Corps really created it, Corporate greed, excessive foreign imports and excessive foreign outsourcing

until both sides are willing to address that, we will continue the decline

Trump & Co. did address that, but your side was too busy having a meltdown to notice.

A couple pundits might but that's it. They didn't fawn over his 2022 candidates or spend an excessive amount of time promoting every event he attending.

I do not agree that he did that.

He got some promises from Carrier, costing us 7 million of our tax dollars.

Way more jobs left America from Indiana (the state of Pence and Carrier) than were saved during Trump, let alone other states, as the method used with Carrier can not be applied across the country.

Then, there was the false claim about Trump saving Ford jobs:

Here is a principle that can not be ignored:

The president does not have the power to tell corporations to make bad business decisions outside of some sort of declared national emergency.

Trump did try to address foreign imports, though he tried to bite off more than he could chew - he disrupted the world supply and did not do it slow enough so that the US workers could take it back little by little - thus inflation

but Trump never addressed foreign outsourcing

You could certainly be right in stating that Trump will not defeat Joe Biden in 2024 -- because from an actuarial standpoint, Biden may very well be DEAD by then.

Have you guys on the Left forgotten that in only two more days Geriatric Joe will be EIGHTY YEARS OLD?! Truth? Trump isn't that far behind him, and in my not-so-humble-opinion, NEITHER of them should ever hold a public office again! NOBODY should be considered eligible for the presidency of this country beyond the age of 70....

Disclaimer: I, too, am an 'old guy' (although not as old as either Joe or Donald). And that's why I think I can say with some degree of authority that 'old guys' have no business running the most powerful nation on earth!

    1) Neither May Run
    2) If BOTH Run = Biden Will Defeat Trump
    3) Speaking of "Geriatric Alzheimer's Patients"...
WHY is the GOP Pushing Trump, who will turn 79 in 2025?

Yet with inflation rampart the Republican only could take the house with a slim majority

They had a Great hand and barely won anything

The country is tired of the wacky conspiracy theories

Excuse me, not "if" rather it's "when". Unless, of course, he dies of old age.

Totally agree with "reasonablerob" "Crash and burn"and this gives Trump more than enough time to finish up.

Who would get the much needed White Evangelical vote?
So far Trump isn't getting carte blache this time around from quite a few prominate Evangelical leaders.
Maybe Jerry Falwell Jr. could get that ball rolling and endorse Trump again? LOL

    2024 ELECTION
2024 GOP presidential hopefuls in no rush to jump in against Trump
Republicans are waiting on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who isn't expected to make a move anytime soon."

Trump is a three-time loser, 2018, 2020 and 2022. Somehow instead of being a referendum on Biden and company, this midterm turned into a referendum on Trump and his endorsed, chosen candidates. Independents aren’t in love with the democratic party or their agenda. But they disliked Trump even more. The Republican Party needs to be reminded they’re still the smaller of the two major parties, hence they must win the independent vote or lose the election. They’ll never do it with Trump at the head or top. They just don’t like the man, the individual, the person.

In 2018 independents voted for democratic congressional candidates 54-42 when that midterm was a referendum on Trump and company. In 2020 independents voted for Biden 54-41 over Trump, truth be told, their vote was more against Trump than for Biden. You can see this as independents voted 48% for Republican congressional candidates, 51% for Republican senate candidates and 52% for Republican governor candidates. All the while Trump received 41%.

2022, independents ended up voting for Democratic congressional candidates 49-47 when the GOP had everything going for them. 2022 turned out to be more of a referendum on Trump and his endorsed, chosen candidates than on Biden and company. Oz, Bolduc, Masters, Laxalt, Diehl, Cox all lost while Walker was forced into a runoff. Those off the top of my head. Interestingly, non-Trump endorsed, chosen Kemp won by 8 points while Walker is headed to a runoff. Sununu won by 16, DeWine by 25. Although Trump endorsed Vance did win in Ohio, but by only 6 points, etc. In states where comparisons exist, non-Trump endorsed, chosen candidate ran 10 points higher than Trump chosen candidates. The reason is independents voted for non-Trump chosen republican candidates while voting for the most part against Trump chosen candidates.

If the Republicans in my opinion are to be successful in 2024, they need to ditch Trump and come up with a candidate/s that can once again attract the independent voter. They need to remember they’re still the smaller of the two major parties, they must win independents or lose.
