tell it to the folks who pay more for everything. Tell them that they should be pleased that it's only $10 more this year than last. Tell them as they try to figure out how to afford to heat their home this year, or find a job as layoffs are increasing

    LET THEM EAT CAKE

Actually it's $1 per person more for a full feast of 12 items.

If you think it's only about $10.74, then you don't understand the issue AT ALL (or are just REALLY bad with personal finances).

$10.74 for a one time thing is next to nothing, sure. But this is a multiplicative issue, since buying groceries doesn't occur just once.

Say it now costs $20 more than it did before to fill up your grocery cart. Say that a person performs this action once per week. That's $1,040/yr more just on groceries alone ... For a person making $50K/yr, that's a big deal to be spending that much more money just to continue buying the same amount of groceries as before.

And that's not nearly the whole picture...

Say that this person's vehicle gets, on average, 25MPG and that this person drives roughly 250 miles per week. That's 10 gallons of gasoline per week. Let's say that gasoline, which used to cost $2/gal under Trump, now costs $4/gal under Biden. That means that this person, in addition to paying $1,040/yr more on groceries, is now also paying $1,040/yr more on gasoline.

Just for groceries and gasoline alone, that's an extra $2,080/yr being spent just to maintain the status quo. That's 4% of this person's entire gross wages (remember, that's BEFORE taxes are taken out).

This doesn't even get into housing or any other expenses.

The working class is suffering BIGLY atm, dude, and has actually been suffering for the past few decades outside of Trump's term... and it's because of elitist globalist corrupt DNC/RNC club hacks like Schumer, Pelosi, McConnell, McCarthy, Bush, Clinton, Biden, Obama, Ryan, McCain, Boehner, and on and on and on. --- The ONLY President in my lifetime (I wasn't alive for Reagan) who gave any sort of a **** about the working class is Donald J Trump. All of those DNC/RNC hacks is why Trump exists... is why MAGA exists... is why the Tea Party existed before MAGA... Yet many people seem to think that supporting those Uniparty hacks is going to somehow make their life better... I got news for ya; it isn't. Yet, they have been psychologically manipulated to vehemently hate the one man who has spent the past 7 years fighting against the corrupt Uniparty club and for them and their own interests.

The midterms weren't awful for the Republicans unless you think winning the House majority is awful!
Yeah, please carry on. If Walker wins the senate, all they have to do is get the swing vote from Manchin. Last I heard he's not too pleased with the Democrats right now.

They're not cutting SS. Stop repeating echo chamber :blahblah:

Lastly, what happened to no one is above the law? Or does your rule of thumb only apply to investigating Republican presidents?

And yes, TGiving dinner is costing Americans a lot of money this year. Joe Biden could have done better but instead he caved to the far left climate progressives of the DP.

A handful of seats mainly brought about by massive redistricting during a global recession and substantial inflation — during a midterm when the elections always benefit the party out of power — if you need to say it wasn’t that bad have at it.
    So like it is now?
Polling isn’t looking to swift for Walker especially now that the attempt to block Saturday voting by cons failed.

Strawman — I have never said anyone is above the law. If Biden did something illegal I hope he is impeached and removed. I am not a Republican after all.

How else would these companies have record profits each quarter if they kept price increases to a reasonable level?

Evidence in bounds for fraud has already been presented. Denying it doesn't make it go away.

Democrats screaming "R's want to eliminate medicare/social security!!" is just a perennial lie. They scream it every year to scare elderly people and it hasn't happened and it isn't going to happen.

Its adorable that you actually believe evidence exists since nobody with far higher intelligence to you and I have been able to present such mind blowing evidence in any court of law.

But you go on believing in the big lie if it helps you get better sleep at night.

Are you under the impression that the last 2 years of this administration in charge was "a win"? Or like a true dipshit progressive Gen Z ideology - "it's everybody else's fault?"

Boy. That mentality is bound to lead to a wonderous future!

I think the political showings from Democrats is poor, they only address a few minor issues while ignoring the major issues but compared to what the Republicans present it is a marked improvement.

Republicans shut down the government, pushed tax cuts that primarily targeted the very wealthy while many of them paid little to no tax, refuse to do anything with healthcare, basically stole a SCOTUS seat after failing to gain majority popular support, and have openly called for a theocracy.

You have a man in your avatar that has no issues with the government attacking his political adversaries such as private companies all the way down to sports teams that dare speak against him.

So while Democratic politicians suck they are not as bad as republicans and I will continue to vote as such.

What needs to happen is elimination of FPTP to allow people to vote their conscience and not for the duopoly, implementation of the Wyoming rule to make the house representative again, limiting money in politics including stopping congressional stock purchases and lifetime bans on lobbying.

And yet the reality is that we were much more powerful and proseperous under Trump's 4 years. The world wasn't on the brink of nuclear war and for some magical reason of which I could say *cough* **** like green energy *cough*...we have almost immediatly slide off of the cliff as soon as Biden took office and implemented the democrats "vision"

Real world called. Democrats say a lot of pretty and virtuous things which appear to ammount to dead ends both socially and economically.

And all you will do is pass that off as 'coicedence' and shrug off any real explination as to why things magically suck right now while the democrates held power in the senate the house and the presidency...you will pass the buck like the rest of the gen z generation. "Biden couldn't do anything" "it's everyone else's fault!" "The entire world is in a recession !!!!one!" "Things are actually ok in America, all things considered!!!!!" If Biden can't do anything, then what the **** did he get voted in for?

Well here's a coincedence I need you to come to terms with. Things will "magically" start getting better right around 2024 and beyond. Assuming the republicans can retake the presidence and help guide this country and the world back to stability and sanity. And you can say it's because of some bullshit like "bleed over from Obama's policies" like every other dipshit progressive who can't seem to face or stomach reality or accept responsability for their failed, dipshit dead end policies.

Until then, warm up to the reality that things are gonna suck for the next 2 years at least. Gee. I wonder why that is?

Completely false and ignoring all data.
We were literally mocked on the world stage, the trump administration was engaged in massive QE and monetary injections via the fed and continually pushed down interest rates in order to schedule sub 3% growth. Manufacturing was already showing recessing indicators prior to COVID and then when COVID hit his administration pushed for uncontrolled spending with zero oversight.

If you want to really believe that Biden’s policy caused massive inflation the moment he entered office and want to ignore the massive spending under trump and the global issues surrounding oil production and general supply then that’s fine but don’t expect others to follow your beliefs so easily.

He got voted in because Republicans are hated. They have supported trolling over governance not to mention their stance on healthcare, energy policy unless it is highly polluting, education, women’s rights, gay rights, environmental policy, employment policy… the list keeps going.

    Yawn

Things are pretty ok all things concerned. Both of my businesses are doing better than they ever have. Our wages are up. We are seeing a reduction in lead time for most parts and materials. Inflation is starting to slow down. Fuel has stabilized. Hopefully democrats can tackle healthcare and pharmaceutical costs in the next few years with the help of a few non-fascist Republicans.

So the damage dems cause to those they claim to care the most about is the result of reps not doing enough to stop them? You make them sound like children with no adult supervision. Thats a fair comparison.

I have no idea how you arrived at this statement after quoting me.

And Republican politicians are definitely not adult supervision the way they behave.

we live in a global economy, drought, bird flu, covid supply issues, artificial oil shortages..... yes, world issues affect us too, we are a global society

what do you suggest, send out more 1k checks until this blows over?

Republicans will be in control of the House in January, let's see what bills they pass to address this, any bets they do not pass anything as nothing we can do except ride it out (I do not even think republicans will try to push another tax cuts for the rich bill)

will republicans do anything to reduce excessive foreign outsourcing? nope, not a thing......

I raise and slaughter my own Turkey every year. So the cost of the bird is blind to me. We get our potatoes from a neighbor so that too is blind to me. Celery, onions, butter, and bread definitely went up. Those are what we use to make the stuffing. The rest family brought over as sides so my increase may have been 20% I don’t know. But 20% of very little is hard to recognize.
