You don't need to tell people what committee is we all know. What "legislation on equitable tax administration" could possible require SPECIFICALLY Donald Trump's tax returns? Presidents comply like any other citizen has the IRS gone to the Congress and said they need this legislation to do their job?

You already have his financial disclosures what in his tax return is going to show this conflict of interest that is not already in the financial disclosure and it there is some loop hole that needs to be closed why doesn the Congress just close why do they specifically need to see Trumps tax return?

They don't specifically need Trump's return to attempt to do that and then try to get it past the SCOTUS as a violation of a candidates right to privacy and confidentiality of of such information. But first explain why that specifically requires Trump's returns.

I CITED 26 USC 6103 why do you have such a need to try and tell me things I already know?

ROFL what do you think is a personal tax return??????? Releasing ANY information from his tax return would be a violation. And are you asserting that this committee in which Trump' tax return can only be view or discussed in a closed session is going to discover crimes that the IRS has not found and you do acknowledge that a Congressional committee engaged in a criminal investigation is unconstitutional and violation of Trumps rights as a citizen.

Still wrong! I could care less what you think you understand. Reality is, the left keeps failing. The Trump haters keep failing. So his tax returns are released. Is he going to prison? Nope! I despise Donald Trump, but I don't hate the man like so many here, as so many in the United States do. I don't hate Joe Biden, but I disklike the so-called President of the United States.

Half to three-quarters of the court cases against Donald Trump are politically motivated. Maybe if you recognized that you would realize the hated that has become the United States of America.

Well for some it sure seems whatever meets their political goals and satisfies their need for vengeance. One person here just said they HOPED Trumps right to privacy and the legal protection of his confidential records gets violated by the Dems on the committee and they leak them.

The report to the law and the Congress. What evidence do you have to support your claim they were corrupt during the Trump administration and why are they still protecting him?

SCOTUS just gave its approval for Congress to have access to Trump's tax documents.

Don't you claim to be a defender of the Constitution?.... Or just another MAGA pretending to be someone else.

There is no requirement in the Constitution. It is as simple and as complicated as that.

What is it you expect them to find in Trump's tax return we don't already know from the financial disclosures he already filed? What that the IRS audits never found?

Yes too bad we don't get to see what was the vote and legal and constitutional reasoning behind not.

But now that you have your way what is it you think they will find in them that we don't already know from his financial disclosures or the IRS has not found and be specific.

    Sure.

6 of the 9 judges are conservatives, 3 were appointed by Trump himself.

They reversed Roe as soon as they could...

I'm fully aware that his tax returns won't change the unwavering devotion of MAGA.... yours included.

But we're going to know some interesting things, including that Trump is even more of a liar than we thought... as if that were possible.

1- He is much less rich than he claims.

2- Contrary to what he says, he doesn't give a penny to charity.

3- That he pays almost no taxes.

In short, that he is a fraud.

Will you ever have the strength to accept reality or will you continue to sink into conspiracy theories?

I like anything that wipes that arrogant contemptuous down the nose sneer off his pancake makeup.
Especially when the hand that wipes it off is one of his own making.

It would not be out of the realms of possibility for half of Trump's army of lawyers to sue the other half for any number of financial irregularities.

And so the Trump Trump Trump of the endless pantomime goes on.

And we don't know what was the vote and they released no explaination for it.

I fully understand than when unable to defend the merits of you own argument you have to asign things to the other person. Pitiful.

Which tax form lists the taxpayers total wealth? His assets are already listed on his financial disclosure. For what legislative purpose is that required?

Already listed on his financial disclosure and public records. What legislative purpose is that for?

We already knows he does. For what legislative purpose does Congress need HIS tax return for that?

Why hasn't the IRS found that?

And you do realize that his tax forms can only be viewed in closed session and Congressnis prevented by law from releasing information from them.

Will you ever have the strength to accept reality or will you continue to sink into conspiracy theories?

If the financial disclosures show the same information as the tax returns then why are you so up in arms that the tax returns have to be released?

And the financial disclosures do not show any details and are not audited. The figures are taken on trust which would be a waste of energy on trump's disclosure

They are certified by the accounting firms who compile them and submitted under threat of perjury. Has the FEC ever filed a charge against Trump. Has the IRS ever notified the FEC of a possible misreporting?

Do you support the 4th Amendment?

Again what is it you expect to be found we don't already know of any importance and is required for this legislation this committee is trying to mark up?

    Nothing surprising in that.

Congress has the right to see any American's tax return.

    Didn't you know that?

You claim to be a defender of the Constitution, and you don't even know what it says.

Under a 1924 federal tax law, § 6103 of title 26 of the United States Code, Congress may request copies of anyone's tax returns.

No wonder you don't understand why SCOTUS rejects Trump's arguments.... and yours.

By law, the public does not have legal access to any individual’s tax return. Income tax records are both private and privileged information. Likewise, private investigators also cannot obtain this information. Only government agencies have the ability to obtain this information, but only by following specific protocol.

The taxing authorities within the state or at the federal level can have access to all income tax records. Additionally, the court system has the ability to order the release of any individual’s tax return data under specific circumstances. However, these are not public records, nor can they be made public, without the individual’s consent.
    https://prudentialassociates.com/who-has-access-to-your-tax-records/

Congress can get them, but they still have to remain not public records.
