Switzerland, Contemplates a Partial Ban on the Use of Electric cars during power shortage crisis

Between Europe's war on energy, (correction, their own energy) and their recent attacks on farms where they're trying to force them to shut down, all this global warming crap is turning into a nightmare.

Explain this logic to me: They will shut down their ability to produce energy and import it from another country because the energy in other countries doesn't pollute the same planet we all live on. Oh, and they can't have milk because raising cows do more global warming damage, so they'll get their milk from other countries because their cows are more environmentally friendly than what they currently are trying to eliminate. Is that their argument? Seems to be.

Now explain the logic to me because there doesn't seem to be any. Global warming wokeness is not a logical argument or a reason for self induced masochistic suffering.

Does anyone have any idea how cold it will be this year in Europe?

 

And there's the problem with EV's.

If every car on the road tomorrow was an EV, the electricity demands on the grid would more than double. Which, of course, is still generated with 70% fossil fuels.

This doesn't even touch on the problems we'd have if our energy grid went down at a macro or micro level.

In a major storm, for example, you'd be ****ed. Live in CA? ****ed.

How are we going to handle every car on the road needing 1hr+ to recharge? It'll look like the 1970's at charging stations.

An answer searching for a solution to a problem which doesn't exist.

 

Less than 20% cars in Switzerland are electric. False narrative & therefore fake news.

 

Knowing progressives, they'd probably ban all cars on roads during such a power shortage - both petrol fuel powered and battery powered - just to make everyone suffer "equally", to be "fair".

 

Huh? How does what you say even make sense?
If less than 20% of cars in that country are electric, why do you think that would make this a false narrative?

Cows are ruminants, so are deer, giraffes, camels etc.. In fact there are some 200 species of ruminants, all farting gas. But we have to suffer because of the climate nuts.

Energy is a problem in Western countries because we're busy fannying on with this climate farce, so energy is actually declining.

 

Electrical vehicles are supposed to be looking into the future. They were tried in our history and failed. They will fail this time. The proof of the pudding will be when the EV owners need a new vehicle, will they opt for another EV. I don't think so. Two big hurdles for EV's -- long re-charging times and initial costs. Americans won't tolerate either. The same people who are pushing EV are the same people who want to save the snail darter. Suppose back in the stone age a group of cave dwellers had wanted to save the dinosaurs? I'm rambling, but you get my point.

 

Don't expect any logical or scientific responses from the left in here. They like to cry about the climate but they don't do or know anything about it.
Most of them don't even know fossil fuels are needed for the production of solar panels.
Most of them have no clue that most of the car charging stations are powered by, take a wild guess.................FOSSIL FUELS

 

There's no logic. Its a 'science' cult. They do what 'scientists' tell them to do without question.

It doesn't matter that warmer temperatures mean less people dying from cold (yes, way more people die from being too cold than being too hot), it doesn't matter that warmer temperatures and higher CO2 means more vegetation- more crops, more livestock, more food, it doesn't matter that we can solve any drought if we just have enough energy to purify and transport water and it doesn't matter that sea level rise from warmer temperatures will coincide with the thawing of permafrost and tundra creating more arable and livable land where currently there is none. 'Scientists' say CO2 and global warming bad, therefore it must be true because 'scientists'=god. The only reason we can't continue to prosper off of the fossil fuels that are still quite abundant while we also develope renewables which we will need in the future is because 'scientists' assure us that we're doomed if we don't reduce population and become more austere, while the folks funding their 'research' buy mansions on beachfront property so they can eat fillet minoin on their carbon-spewing yachts that they use to travel the globe telling us we shouldn't have air conditioning or steak or SUV's. 'That's the King's buck! You eat zeh bugs!'

 

The human race should learn from history, not repeat it and fail again. So a battery car ain't the answer, I agree with you.

Living in Switzerland had a lot of perks. Their flag is a big plus!

Here's my take on this: Think of the planet as being the mighty Titanic and global warming is the iceberg. Libs seem to think if they can keep their stateroom dry, all the water rushing into the China and India rooms won't matter and the ship will stay afloat.

 

What happens to the waste electricity after all those EVs have used it?

 

Maybe someone will invent a vehicle with a sail, then gas and electric vehicles will be banned. Then the tree huggers will be happy -- as they fly around in their private jets.

 

Because they don't even attempt to hide it, I'm sure you've noticed how the people who scream the loudest about the agonizing death the planet will suffer due to global warming are the people who use more fossil fuels than anyone.
