Didja hear about that non-binary guy that did a mass shooting at what might have been a mass child grooming session? Previously, he had made bomb threats to his own mother and then had a "stand off" with police and for some reason, did not do years in jail for this thing. Heck, existing "red flag" laws apparently did not a single thing.

What exactly, in a society where lawlessness takes place in public without response, do you think should be done?

A few of you have been talking about how "harmless" pot is. In addition to permanent brain damage, especially in younger people there is a new study which indicates further that it is not harmless.

How disingenuous of you. I was very disheartened to think 10 more young people had perished; not funny.

 

The “overdose” resulted in mild to moderate distress. He knew this before he created the thread. To say he was disingenuous is an understatement.

 

Six of them were sent to the hospital. That would indicate a bit more than mild to moderate distress.

 

Per the article in the OP…mild to moderate distress. People get sent to hospital for precautionary reasons all the time. Grow up.

It appears that you can't control your self when it comes to insults.

Did ABC news have access to the hospital records? That is against the law unless each and every patient gave their permission, which is doubtful.

 

By the way. Moderate distress is not insignificant. It is just one step below severe. It was significant enough that they thought that six of them should go to the hospital.

 

They are kids…they will alway err on the side of caution with sending them to hospital for something like this. Luckily it turned out to only be mild to moderate distress.

 

yes, kids get into their parents alcohol stashes too, but I think comparing this to being shot by a mass shooter is a bit much

 

oh I agree, spray paint, alcohol, guns, prescriptions, many things kids can abuse, always error on the side of caution and send to hospital

keep adult things away from children, don't ban adult things because of children

 

the anti-smokers will whine about the smell and the dangers to ones lungs, Edibles solves that problem

Just make a safe supply available to addicts. That way, we can break take the crime syndicates out of the picture.

 

This 85 year old not grown person would like to explain to the grown up actually how such things work.

The paramedics have a set of instructions which allow them to differentiate between what is considered mild, moderate or severe. Regardless of having those instructions, it is still somewhat subjective. Further, mild, moderate and severe are not distinct. Not everyone in the moderate category has the same degree of distress. They could have all been on the borderline between mild and moderate or on the borderline between moderate and severe. So, when you make the assumption, and it is only an assumption that they were only sent to the hospital as a precautionary measure, you really don't know.
