    https://www.nbc15.com/2022/12/03/gas-prices-continue-drop-into-holiday-season/

"Analysts say fears about COVID-19 restrictions and lockdown protests in China have caused a dent in demand, leading to lower gas prices in the U.S."

Seems to have nothing to do with Joe. Well I guess the fears of COVID restrictions are much more likely under this administration so...you know? There's that.

Does this get him off the hook for the rise in gas prices? Looking towards OPEC and Venzuala instead of Canada and the pipeline to adequatly solve our needs? Or make it harder for our domestic oil companies policy wise with permits and actively vilifying them? Or snubbing Elon and Tesla who has led the market in electronic car manufacturing because Elon doesn't share the same politics?

    Ya. **** Biden.

Under $2.00? Gas price was $2.50 in 2019 and $2.65 in 2018. Are you saying we should destroy the economy to bring it under $2.00? The "Shrub" did it in 2007-08 and Trump did it in 2020, but I think that's a horrible way to reduce gas prices. You might get your wish though, because the rumor has it that there is a global recession on the horizon, especially in Europe.

Prices are coming down mostly due to China demand declining and OPEC+ is already talking about production cuts to raise the price, so this is a global game, not a US political pissing contest.

They are not empty, but they will probably never be full again either, because as per legislation already in place the level was to be brought down by 67% from max, and we are nowhere near that yet.

It's almost as iff you have to look at the policies and rhetoric by his administration and then decide for yourself if they have helped or hurt the oil industry in the United States?

I went to one of our favorite restaurants last night. Its a bar and grill. 3 years ago (last time I was there as its an indulgence) I got my favorite burger there for $10. Last night it was $18.50. I walked out. My son even offered to pay (he's 17 and no bills yet), I said no thank you, lets go. I make $13.50/hr up to $14.10 (depending on performance, absences etc etc). And I can't even afford an indulgence once in a while anymore. Being as my son is "young and dumb" he didn't understand why we didn't just stay. I told him I could get 3lbs of hamburger meat at the store for $16-$17 and that would make us about 15-20 burgers depending on size I make them at. He went "oh...".

Yes, crude oil is going down... however at the expense of nearly 40% of our strategic oil reserves. He could get it below $60 a barrel by dumping the remaining 400 million barrels into the market...

This is literal cutting your nose to spite your face. There is way more fiduciary ways to lower the cost of petroleum versus eliminating our strategic reserves.

Cool story and yet hard to believe. The Applebee's Classic Cheese Burger is $11.29, which is about the same as 3 yrs ago.

If the oil forecast for 2023 is indeed over $100 per gallon, it will likely encourage US producers to increase output, but so far they have been cautious about it due to taking massive losses in 2020.

The other caution is the fact that the government is taking drastic steps to get rid of gas cars. Their potential market demand can only be expected to go down by the time they even finish building a new refinery.

Thier in house menu showed a different price so I'm guessing that it was just changed and they haven't quite updated their website yet. But I always get the Big Buffalo Burger when I go there. Their Top Sirloin in the linked to menu is also not the same price as their in house menu. Their in house menu had it at $29.

Feel free to call them also if you don't believe me.

What the current price of diesel you ask? Well the trucks and trains are still shelling out,
No worries, they only move freight and stuff around the country and those big boats that float imports to the U.S.? Well, I'm sure they are all wind powered sailors ;)

We didn't lose a single one. But then we didn't lock down to the degree that many Democrat held areas did.

That it not a concern. Demand for oil is pretty much at all time high. Electric cars may be the future, but it seems its a fairly distant future, and new refineries can also be used to refine petroleum to be exported.

We were locked down long and hard down here in South Florida, and many restaurants went under.

You think he was the only one? And anyone with an ounce of brain can tell he was being serious.

And feel free to quote "Trump supporters on this site" that "wish that the entire country suffers".

Odd, my cousin plays Neuvo Flamenco guitar in Sarasota in many restaurant venues in Southern Florida and he only experienced maybe 2 months of no work during the lock downs. All the restaurants he plays at still remain open to this day, all the way down for Fort Myers. Granted, the Ritz-Carlton, his biggest customer, was down and out for him.. but that had nothing to do with COVID lock downs, but the Red Tide.

    Yes:

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/gas-prices-under-trump/

Gas prices were better under Trump as was inflation, interest rates and the cost of living. Biden and his far left nutjob Administration are turning America into a Stalinist hellhole. Enjoy your government rationed cheese and peanutbutter. :)

I take it you can't deal with the OP and my original post triggered this deep desperate need to deflect down a much needed comfort rabbit hole? Understandable but kinda crappy response. The shoe fits....

    Yea, you too.

Gas price was under $2.00 because the economy crashed in 2020. We do NOT want that. Well, maybe you do, but most people don't.

Likewise, in 2008 with Bush last year in office gas was over $4.00 earlier in the year, and then fell to $1.90 because of the economic collapse. We heard about that $1.90 for a long time, but we didn't hear about the $4.00, or why it crashed to $1.90.

You sound angry because gas prices are coming down. Why?

So you can't quote any. Instead you go and try and attack me. Not surprised.

Oh and... I already dealt with the OP in a different post.

I merely corrected you for being wrong, with a link and showed you that gas prices were better under the last Administration. Inflation and cost of living were better as well. If that makes me "angry" then that is something you need to work out.

Are you angry Biden opened the borders and let illegals and drugs pour into the United States at levels that equates to an invasion or just angry that his inflation is costing you money every day?
