There have been numerous reports that his administration officials frequently destroyed documents so he likely did

We can absolutely compare as details emerge

If he didn’t know he had them how could he have turned them in earlier?

One seems to be an act of malice the other seems to be an act of incompetence

If you look at a timeline for the documents return request, you will see that the only option left was a raid. Trump declined to comply for a year.

    Of Course, You Are CORRECT...

A person would have to possess a severe lack of Historical.Contexf to even Imply that Biden's Current Situation is even on the same planet as Nixon's...

Biden was technically a spy, as the intent was to use the classified documents against the US.

Like many spies, Biden sought to make money from his access to secrets.

Anyone that tries to defend his theft of classified documents is a corrupt politician.

The Biden attorney's did not cooperate they insisted on themselves doing the searches and then pronounced they had found everything. And hope is all you got was there a reason the FBI was enamored with Mrs. Trumps?

The FBI is not a part of the DOJ now? And ex post facto gives unrestricted access after denying them for months. How self-serving of him.

ROFLMAO yea Biden boxed himself into a corner didn't he. And when classified information was first discovered he told the DOJ his attorney's would do the searches not the DOJ.

They could have easily destroyed other documents and no one would even know. That takes a level of integrity which amount matches that of the Biden family.

They cooperated by turning over documents and allowing the DOJ to investigate without a warrant. Something no American has to do.

As to y’all being outraged about them searching underwear drawers — do you believe they should no search there because if so that’s a great place for a criminal to hide illegal items.

Trump did respond to a subpoena and turned over boxes and boxes and told them where they were all stored. If the DOJ found something later doesn't he get the same excuse you are giving Biden that they were mistakenly misplaced, inadvertently filed? If not why not?

Ah yes, they willingly turned over documents that they new would cause something like this that no one knew existed only so they could start hiding things now.

That makes perfect sense. I don’t know why I suddenly expect y’all to be able to look at the facts through a non-partisan lens after how the last 6 years have gone.

They did not cooperate by telling the DOJ that they would be prompted and his personal attorneys would search through and turn over anything they found. When Trump's attorney's did that you called it obstruction I believe. Garland has been giving Biden cover up until he had to turn it over to a special counsel and all of a sudden we FINALLY get a serach.
So how much did they destroy, ala Hillary, in the interim?

Had he complied with the subpoena then no warrant would have been issued and no raid would have been conducted and no right wingers would have threatened the FBI.

I doubt trump knew the number but 600+ and that is after they did the raid — is vastly different from a few dozen.

There is a very good possibility that Biden will come under investigation for the influence peddling which means subpoena's and searches so they were in the middle of a CYA and THAT is why they were discovered. And they have been trying to steer events ever since.

And now classified information going back to his days in the Senate. When is he going to have to answer for the invective he engaged in against Trump?

Is this your understanding of the discoveries to date? It's very confusing with the use of the phrase "batches" and the like

    11/2/22 - 10 Documents Penn Biden Center
    12/20/22 - ? Documents Home Garage
    1/11-12/23 - 6 documents from Home Library
    1/21/23 - 6 documents from Home - Full Search

    Totally...
To hear the RW/MAGA Biden-Hating Crowd Tell It:
These "batches" of "Top Secret" Documents...
    Contain so many pages...
That they Make the Unedited Manuscript of War and Peace look like a Tiny Post-It Note...

He keeps claiming he has been; "cooperative, honest, and transparent" and yet the statute has no exceptions for that, he illegally was in possession of the documents, then concealed when they were found until forced to by leaks, and then did a limited hangout admitting to only what was leaked, and admitting additional finds only after those were leaked too.

And the entire time he was virtue-signalling his angst over a political foe in possession of classified documents, Biden was illegally in possession of documents, in violation of exactly the same statute he was claiming that his political opponent was in violation of.

He's been deeply dishonest about the entire affair, and he is more broadly dishonest in many things.

And Dirtbag Garland is in an obvious cover-up.

'Biden’s DOJ Was Grossly Negligent in Handling Classified-Document Searches.'

Lawyers with improper clearance cannot possess nor read these documents. Just what in the hell are these folks thinking? They are so lax when it's Biden and exactingly punishing when it's a political foe.

Now everyone in Biden's DOJ who has allowed uncleared persons to view and handle these documents are all in violation of this same statue that they have been performatively freaking out over when it was to their political advantage.

'Perhaps even worse, the Biden Justice Department declined to have the FBI present and overseeing these searches, even though it had abundant reason to know more secret intelligence would be found, as well as a duty to ensure that the bureau both preserved evidence and protected national security.'

    https://www.nationalreview.com/2023...ent-in-handling-classified-document-searches/

'We can and should wonder why no one in our $67 billion per annum Intelligence Community noticed until recently that Biden still had Obama-era TS/SCI documents.'

This is our top secrecy classification as discovery of them can uncover deep cover agents and put them and our national security at risk. There is supposed to be a careful tracking of who views or possesses these documents and carefully checked safeguards to assure that they were returned to their proper storage facility. Obviously, this did not occur with the documents illegally possessed by Classified Joe.

Contrary the lying fake news spin, Biden Aides Did Not Notify Law Enforcement, they notified the Biden White House.

Recall that "Ten Percent For The Big Guy" Classified Joe, 'is embroiled in a controversy involving the peddling of his influence to rake in millions of dollars in foreign money, particularly from Chinese “partners.” His Penn Biden Center was established after tens of millions of dollars in Chinese-sourced funds poured into the University of Pennsylvania. Why did he decide to pack the place up two years into his presidency? We don’t know.'

First the crime of the illegal possession, followed by the cover up:

'Biden's personal lawyer, Patrick Moore, found the documents. Moore did not report to the Justice Department or the FBI that the Biden team had found classified documents illegally stored in an unauthorized location. Rather, he notified the Biden White House.'

Remember, that possession was a crime, and Top Secret Documents have the potential to deeply harm national security and get agents in the field killed if they escape from government control. Yet, knowing all this, 'Richard Sauber, a lawyer the president recruited to the White House Counsel’s Office to navigate the expected investigations by House Republicans, decided to notify the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) — again, not the Justice Department or the FBI.'

It never was the Biden team that notified Law Enforcement:

'Thus, it was not FBI agents who picked up the documents after their discovery; it was officials of NARA, a self-proclaimed “independent” agency — though it’s an executive agency, and one that is already helping the Biden administration stonewall congressional Republicans. Federal law-enforcement agencies did not learn about the discovery of the highly classified information illegally retained in Biden’s private office until the following day, November 4 — i.e., four days before the midterm elections. And this notification to DOJ came not from Biden’s lawyers or the Biden White House, but from NARA’s inspector general.'

Felony punishable by 10 years in prison:

'Given that it is a felony punishable by ten years’ imprisonment (under Section 793(f) of the federal penal code) for an official entrusted with access to national-defense information, such as Biden, to be grossly negligent in mishandling it (e.g., to remove it from government custody, to retain it in an unauthorized place, or to cause its transmission or exposure to unauthorized persons), the Justice Department naturally opened an investigation. DOJ appears to have soft-pedaled this probe as a “preliminary inquiry” or an “assessment,” rather than a full-blown criminal investigation. That, no doubt, is because the main suspect is the sitting president — the chief executive and thus the superior of those who are “investigating” him.'

The Dirtbag 'FBI opened its inquiry on November 9. Neither the White House nor the Justice Department has explained why, having received evidence of the commission of a serious crime on November 4, the Justice Department and FBI waited five days — i.e., until the day after the midterm elections — to open the inquiry.'

We all know why, the FBI is deeply infested with political dirtbags.

Both the DOJ and Biden Admit: 'Searches Conducted by Non-Cleared Aides, Not the FBI'

'The Penn Biden Center did not open until February 2018, over a year after the Obama administration ended. So investigators had to know, instantly, that the highly classified documents Biden retained after leaving office in January 2017 had to have been transferred to at least one other unauthorized location before finally landing at Biden’s Penn Biden Center office. In turn, it was reasonable to infer from this knowledge that there could be more documents in other Biden locations.'

This means that other Biden locations needed to be searched:

'In light of the threat posed to national security and the need to preserve the integrity of the evidence, it was imperative that any such searches be conducted by FBI agents with high security clearances.'

The Dirtbags of the DOJ/FBI 'decided that the bureau’s investigators would not take part. “Instead,” the Journal says, “the two sides agreed that Biden’s personal attorneys would inspect [Biden’s] homes, notify the Justice Department as soon as they identified any other potentially classified records, and arrange for law-enforcement authorities to take them.”'

That was a process that deliberately allowed for the destruction and concealment of evidence.

While they don't have to go to search warrants, 'the Justice Department did have sufficient grounds to seek a search warrant — i.e., there was probable cause that a crime had been and/or was then being committed, and that evidence of the crime would be found in the locations to be searched. It was therefore essential for Garland to ensure that the classified evidence was acquired by government agents with appropriate clearances. Only such agents could ensure that the evidence was preserved for investigative purposes, and that national security was thus protected.'

Even in the absence of a search warrant 'the Justice Department is duty bound to make sure that the search is done by federal law-enforcement agents — in this case, the FBI — when there are grounds to believe evidence, especially classified evidence, will be recovered. There would have been no problem with permitting Biden’s aides to be present and participate. But the search still should have been conducted principally by law enforcement.'

'This is common sense. Yet top Justice Department officials reportedly opted not to have the FBI participate in searches that DOJ knew the Biden team was going to undertake. And on top of that, the Biden team decided to have the searches conducted by lawyers who did not have security clearances.'

'Biden’s main defense if he were facing indictment would be the farfetched claim that he didn’t know or have reason to know classified information was in his possession in multiple locations that were uniquely his, and that he is thus not responsible for the information’s potentially having been exposed to unauthorized people.'

    https://archive.is/2fv8z#selection-1421.0-1421.12

But, Biden's book that he wrote after leaving the office of the Vice Presidency appears to refer to material within these documents, meaning he knowingly possessed, handled, and left this material improperly safeguarded, for years. Further:

'Whatever he may have known or not known before November 2', on that date he knew 'that he was in possession of highly classified information, that he had been for about five years, and that there was reason to believe he was retaining still more classified information. With that knowledge, he arranged to have aides who did not have security clearances — i.e., who were not authorized to possess the documents — search for the additional documents.'

'Worse yet, Biden’s Justice Department knew the same things Biden knew, and still allowed Biden aides without security clearances, rather than the FBI, should conduct searches that were virtually certain to turn up — and, in fact, did turn up — more classified documents that those aides were not authorized to possess.'

    'What a mess.'
