    You said "violently attack members of congress". As far as "insurrection" the law is the same whether its attacking municipal authority in Portland or Federal authorities in DC.
    And nobody attacked members of Congress

    I'm always amazed at threads regarding this particular topic, how the bigots seem to have been watching some other video. Maybe it's just that bigots feel the urge to justify their bile.

    There is no ******n excuse for this level of violence on an unarmed person. Period!

    Nichols didn't do even one right thing the whole while. Everything he said, didn't say, did, and didn't do, all went to escalate the matter. On the other hand, everything the Police did was right, up to the point of going too far. But even that was all precipitated by Nichols behavior. It's absurd to hold the devious to nothing and the Police to sainthood.
