California county will likely return beach to Black descendants

I hear the early European settlers purchased Manhattan Island in New York from the Native Americans, for $24.00 worth of beads. Now THAT is a deal that needs to be re-evaluated. I wish the descendants of that tribe would come forward.

 

Just think of all the land/property Black people have been cheated out of thru out USA history. I'm sure it would add up to the billions of dollars. Think: Black Wall Street and Rosewood just to name a few.

 

To repeat again, the original property owners were given fair market value for their seized property at the time. They could have taken that money and bought another investment property somewhere else, if they had wanted.

Why do I get the feeling the Left doesn't give much of a damn about property rights unless it has to do with racism.

 

Private property rights in the country ended in 2005.

 

There are likely a 100s of examples where California used imminent domain to take property without giving them a choice, and yet its only the black ones who have a remedy.
Until they give everything back to the indians, this is hypocritical virtue signaling.

 

Taking land in war is different from government stealing property from its own citizen but you know this

 

It looks Blacks have better lobbyists and better lawyers than Indians.

 

Yeah, much more egregious without any legal process or compensation in return, and usually at the point of a gun instead.
