No race-baiting here. He literally lived across the street for 8 years from the family of the 9-year-old girl, And young kids do play out in the front yard.

At the same time, you may want to ask how she was collecting the butterflies as they fall to the ground. Were they magically transported into a jar somewhere else? Yes, she was spraying a substance to kill the butterflies. It is quite common and you can buy that stuff at Lowes or any Hardware store of your choosing, not to mention any greenhouse establishment too. Thus, she would have a net, a backpack where the jar or jars are located, a notepad to document when and how many, and so forth. Collecting species, no matter what is involved, is quite comprehensive.

For your education, you may want to read the link below.

to admit it, it means that 95% of their political idealogy is wrong and their egos can't handle that.

Thanks for that information. I'm still not sure how this is RACISM.
I'm not justifying the call. It was a stupid thing to bother police for, i'm just calling out the race baiting over something that has ZERO to do with race.

"Telling 911 that there's a woman causing a problems puts the idea into first responders' heads that use of force may be necessary. That's exactly what that dickhead was hoping for. No need to put it on his conscience when he can have others do the killings for him."

That’s one of the single dumbest things I’ve ever read. No, no one is putting anything into the head of a first responder that they weren’t trained to have in the first place. What a clown show.

Your two options on the city council member is either it was inert racism or he is dumber than a second coat of paint. Take your pick. Either way, it is not good for him.

Personally, he should apologize and congrats her on the accomplishment. Needs to be done publicly and privately IMO because this did make local news.

Why? Was she also the size of an adult male and sticking a fake gun that she modified to look real into people's faces?

Yes I have, and it’s not my job to show you the data. Do your own research and if you do so honestly you will come to the same conclusion.

It’s fake racism, based on a wide variety of assumptions. You couldn’t even begin to justify the claim it’s racism with any objectivity in this case whatsoever.

Pssssst, if you spray something on trees and sidewalks, and it doesn't leave behind any paint, then it probably isn't graffiti. I appreciate, however, your assumption that this guy was an idiot. That we can agree on.

Yet it's okay to be scared of a little girl trying to do something about them? Great take. Unlike this kid, those insects actually cause damage.

Shooting a hooded 6 foot tall person waving a gun around at multiple people?

I'd be surprised too if they didn't get shot.

How do you define insecticide? The article states it was a homemade recipe. How do you know she was not supervised?

Speaking of your poorly predicated guesses--that is patently not what this "sounds like." In your depiction, there is no reason, the caller would be "scared" of a 9 year old, of whom the wild speculation was being made, that she was "spray painting stuff." A normal adult, concerned about this, would walk out, to see for himself, before troubling police, over nothing. A City Councilman, especially, should appreciate that, and know better. Also, spray paint, is typically something that can be seen, from across the street. Mr. Lawshe, if he was afraid of speaking to the 9 year old, could have at least gone out to verify his suspicions-- or could his young neighbor, in your opinion, credibly have him too intimidated, to even leave his house, when she is outside?

Is this an image, you think that conservatives should be proud to adopt?
I guess we could then dismiss all the Republican tough talk, about dealing with Russia and China, of those who view as frightening, the prospect of interacting with a 9 year old, female neighbor, & think this requires armed law enforcement. It is the image we should all keep in mind, whenever we hear Republican chicken hawks, telling us about the armed response, which is "necessary" for dealing with Iran (God only knows how much spray paint, they have stockpiled-- not to mention, how many dark-skinned, 9 year old girls).

If you are white , then I hardly doubt you have ever experienced racism. If you are White then you have ZERO idea the day to day racism African-American face every single day.

Few years ago an African-American colleague once said to me “ I will face more racism just to get a cup of coffee from Starbucks and get back to office then you will ever face racism in your entire life”.

I had to challenge him such a provocative statement. I know racism exist, I don’t deny racism but it can’t be so widely practice. So we did a test.

I go to a Baptist church where 99% members are white. The next Sunday my African-American colleague sent his teenage son , Ed to our youth group which starts an hour before Sunday morning service. Another white co-worker of mine sent her son , Nate, to our church. Both kid arrived at the church before the youth program. Nate got out of the car, walked straight to the gate and then asked where is the youth group attending. A volunteer who welcome members at the front gate told him where to go and welcome him to the church. On the other hand as soon as Ed got out of the car , a volunteer who re-direct traffic on Sunday morning, came to welcome Ed, greeted him asked him where he wants to go. The volunteer walked with Ed and came inside the building, handed him over to another volunteer. The 2nd volunteer asked Ed more question like where he heard about our youth program, does Ed have other sibling who would join the program, where are Ed’s parents etc, and then handed over to 3rd volunteer to take Ed to the room where youth gather for service.

Now the experience Ed received sound very helpful. I know these volunteers since I was a teenager myself. These volunteer has Zero racism in their heart. They want to show Jesus’ love to everyone regardless who they are. But the reason Ed got so much attention is because “ A black man coming to a predominantly white church, we just need to make sure he is going where he says he is going”. To us, it doesn’t sound like racism, but when an African-Americans everyday has “explaining” who they are, where they are going, just to get a cup of coffee, it is racism.

My brother married an Indian woman. They have been married almost 17 years. Every place they go, people ask “ are you too related”. I have been married more then 23 years, no one ever asked me if I am related to my wife.

Racism exist everywhere. We just chose to ignore it.

Objectively incorrect. White people are the number one target of racism in present day America. It’s just become socially acceptable to be racist towards white people. And it’s genuinely unfortunate.

your anecdote doesn’t at all prove the norm, I have a similar anecdote but in the reverse. Proving that white people in present day America experience if more The same as you think yours proves the opposite . So your anecdote holds zero impact on the conversation. It’s just an anecdote, perhaps even made up.

Racism is a non-issue today, but what little does exist targets white people the vast majority of time…it’s just socially acceptable.

Hell it’s genuinely systematic, considering I have to outperform an equally qualified black person for the same job due to their AA points. Companies like Coca Cola tell their employees to be less white, etc etc.

You can choose to be wrong and believe racism doesn’t target whites people, but you are certainly wrong.

Fortunately I don’t live in “ alternative reality” like you do.

Here is the Coca-Cola leadership team,

    Coca-Cola Leadership | the Coca-Cola Company

5/45 are non-white leader in Coca-Colo. I can see very well which way the racism works in Coca-Cola.

You want to see another leadership example.

    Presidents | The White House

    US President - 1/46 leader is non-white.

    Oh you want more

There have been 115 Supreme Court justices in history. Only 7 were not White men | CNN Politics

    Supreme Court Justice - 3/115 are non-white.

Only three Black governors have ever been elected in US history | The Hill

shall i go on or in your alternative reality none of these stats exist?

    1. He did not call 911. He called the non-emergency police number.
    2. The girl had a hoodie and he did not recognize her. He thought it was a little lost girl or little woman with dementia.

    https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/23/us/lanternflies-black-girl-new-jersey-police-reaj/index.html

This is a bunch of bullshit over literally nothing. Absolutely nothing.

They were able to milk this into nationwide fame and a Yale award while demonizing all of their white neighbors and making them want to leave. This is exactly what subversion looks like.

Fake racism isn’t a catch phrase at all, it’s a perfect descriptor of the left throwing the claim racism at everything that moves.

Incorrect, it would appear you are projecting and do Infact live in an alternate reality.

Coca Cola objectively told its employees to be less white. Nothing you posted refutes this. They even admitted to it. That racism happened.

And your entire premise is based on improperly applied logic. Inequality of outcome does not indicate racism. Everything you are citing as examples of racism is simply unequal outcomes. Unequal outcomes does not equal racism. Meanwhile I gave a direct example not of unequal outcomes but of an actual racist stance of the Coca Cola company...that being white is bad.

So given the lack of logic in the assumption that unequal outcomes equal racism…it does appear I am correct. You were projecting
