Without the court system , mob will rule as majority. Democrats use court system as much as Republican does. How many times do you think GOP brought ACA in front court? Right now, SCOTUS debating about Biden’s student debt relief issue. I don’t think you would say “election has consequence, let Biden relief debt of student, open up southern border, give universe health care whomever Biden wants”. If Biden exceed his executive authority , republican will take him to court.

You are right , election has consequences but so does governing outside the law to satisfy the mob.

So less then 1.5% Americans transgender and that has significant consequence for America? Interesting. Because here are more serious statistics

20% High school student live in poverty.

22.2% among 12 to 19 year old suffer from obesity.

25% of high school freshmen fail to graduate from high school on time.

1.2 million students drop out of high school every year in the United States.

But let’s focus on transgender and drag queen.

I would think any legal stuff on woke would require a legal definition of woke, otherwise it is a completely arbitrary legal situation.

I just have to say thank you for being honest.

Many moderates and even liberals really don’t believe you people have such intentions if you guys win — the blanket destruction of everything you dislike to install your own agenda.

I have gone from a moderate voter to never voting for another republican again. I hope the rest of younger voters see this is what you people envision for the nation — it isn’t what is best for the country but rather the push for “right wing propaganda”.

It’s a disgusting take but again, I thank you for your honesty.

You are must welcome. This is why DeSantis is a different kind of Republican. He uses power to advance what conservatives want. This is a completely new thing and the voters of Florida have indicated their approval with their votes. The model going forward must be the DeSantis model. It works, it is Democratic, it is popular and it protects the most vulnerable in society.

Installing propaganda to force your views really isn’t democratic — it’s simply propaganda.

Since Democrats won on the national stage should they be doing the same?

Do you really want this to be the new tactic going forward? Win by any means necessary and when you do win upend the systems to make it where you win easier going forward?

As for it protecting the most vulnerable, medical professionals, psychiatric organizations and impacted individuals disagree with your assessment. And that is what is really the issue here, you people have elicited your opinion based on nothing but rhetoric and your chosen partisan public servants to replace science and fact and you are willing to do anything to push that ideology.

    I hope voters take note

1 is fairly easy to curtail. It’s just inappropriate speech/behavior. Costs nothing.

Obesity isn’t a govt problem. It’s a family personal problem. Although, perhaps if govt agencies, corps and the MSM started shaming fat people for being fat, we’d have less of it. Now fat is beautiful and powerful and even gasp…healthy???. NO, NO it’s not. I’m not in bizarro world is obese anything but a terrible health issue. And we’re not talking a little overweight. We’re talking OBESE, meaning you only get that way from eating. Always interesting how poor people can be obese, which is strange since they’re poor. Maybe not as poor as we think? Obesity takes time and effort.

Same with graduation rates. Not many poor Asians failing or dropping out of school in comparison? Still POC, but different culture. Care to guess why?

Obesity is not a government problem but transgender surgery is ?

No need to guess why Asian American don’t drop out of school. Print is 1.2 million kids drops out of HS and that is far more serious problem then .75% Americans changing their gender.

And attempting to throw your party's strongest opponent into jail to prevent him from winning the next election is not Democratic. The Democrats have been full fascist for the past four years, hadn't you noticed? I certainly did. Pressuring social media companies to censor political opposition, encouraging riots if a trial did not go the right way, encouraging people to harass and attack political opponents when they go out to eat, allowing protesters to intimidate supreme court justices in their own homes, pressuring companies to fire employees who didn't get a vaccination that didn't work, etc.... there are literally dozens of examples. It is time for progressives to learn that the power they use to oppress ordinary Americans can also be used to oppress them. They knew that at one time but have forgotten about it after decades of oppressing others.

The people of this nation have voted not once but twice against trump and his support has done nothing but decrease since the insurrection. It’s laughable that you believe holding him accountable in accordance with US law is an attempt to keep him from office. Please note: he can still be elected president even if incarcerated so even that is a flimsy excuse.

First, it was under trumps administration from people he hired that most of this occurred. Please cite the Democratic Party policy positions that encourage rioting or intimidation of anyone — you are likely trying to say because a single or few candidates called for this that it is a party platform but I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt. If you are using single candidates as a metric then your side has said their needs to be a holy war with anyone not believing in Christian values executed and your star leader went as far as to say the only good democrat is a dead one. Is that really what you are trying to do?

Yes, you people love to complain about what the other side is doing while you are the ones actually doing it. Look at the electoral and election fraud — almost 100% republicans. Look at the attacks on free speech and expression by Republicans.

You can try and justify your position by saying “the other side is doing it” but the facts don’t really indicate that. This is just what y’all stand for, don’t try and back down — scream it louder

Let's weed through the crap here. First it's not the 'anti-woke law' it's the Individual Freedom Act and it's only partially enjoined.

'Signed into law by Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis in April 2022, the law prohibits private employers and university professors from endorsing certain concepts related to race and other categories of identity.'

Those are concepts that state that someone is inherently an oppressor when they have oppressed no one, or that they are oppressed, simply because of innate characteristics.

'The statute drew lawsuits almost immediately. A number of employers and a diversity consultant challenged a provision that says private employers may not require employees to attend a training or activity that promotes any of eight listed concepts.'
Actually, it seemingly isn't. And racial constructs and ideals are not forbidden, rather, naming folks oppressors and oppressed independent of any actions on their part, is.

The problem for the statute, that was spotted by an alert court is: "Normally, the First Amendment bars the state from burdening speech, while private actors may burden speech freely," Walker wrote. "But in Florida, the First Amendment apparently bars private actors from burdening speech, while the state may burden speech freely."

"The First Amendment does not permit the State of Florida to muzzle its university professors, impose its own orthodoxy of viewpoints."

Which is what FL was attempting to prevent professors from doing, but, in doing so may have created other problems that need to be resolved.

"Conservatives who cheer on the Florida law should consider what liberal states—or, for that matter, a Democratic-controlled Congress—could do if allowed to engage in similar regulation," Ilya Somin, a law professor at George Mason University, warns at The Volokh Conspiracy. "The same powers that Florida uses to target 'woke' employer speech can just as easily be used against conservative employers."

FIRE whose work I admire had this to say:

“Professors must be able to discuss subjects like race and gender without hesitation or fear of state reprisal,” said the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, or FIRE, one group that sued over the legislation. “Any law that limits the free exchange of ideas in university classrooms should lose in both the court of law and the court of public opinion.”

"The Individual Freedom Act, in 2022 expands anti-discrimination laws to prohibit schools and companies from leveling guilt or blame to students and employees based on race or sex. It takes aim at lessons over issues like “white privilege” by creating new protections for students and workers, including that a person should not be instructed to “feel guilt, anguish, or any other form of psychological distress” due to their race, color, sex or national origin.'

'Note that the government is generally allowed to closely control what is taught in government-run K-12 schools, though university faculty have generally (though not uniformly) indeed been seen as having substantial free speech rights.'
