A few protesters in NYC apparently didn't get the memo. However, It wasn't just Golem "who got it right" though, and the grand jury is still investigating. We will see what we will see when that Grand Jury concludes its investigation. Meanwhile, Rep Comer and the House Oversight Committee are trying to derail the same investigation using the power of Congress to protect Trump. That kind of message has only one conclusion: that Trump and the GOP want to be above the law and install a totalitarian government.

 

More precisely, the media got trolled, all of them both liberal and conservative.

 

The lie was that he was to be arrested on Tuesday, March 21. We now know that didn't happen. However, there continues to be a grand jury investigation that has not concluded yet. So until the Grand Jury decides whether to bill or no bill, we really don't know if Trump will be arrested.

I read that the jury convened on Monday, which may be why Trump ASSumed Tuesday, but more than likely after his Truth Silly post, the DA would have moved it to Wednesday just to piss Donnie off.

Juries in NY, or in any other state, can take a day to a few weeks depending on the complexity of the case. Circumstantial murders usually take two days to indict by DA, generally. This is a financial crime, which can get complicated, so, I am anticipating at least a week, maybe two. If it goes longer, then that tells me the grand jury is either considering more evidence or more charges.

 

Trump is too insecure to make jokes like that. All caps rant and all.

I don’t think golem even made a prediction, he reported what trump said and gave a click-bait style title.

The good news today was Evan Cocoran has personal audio recordings and must turn them over to Smith grand jury. That order was stayed until 6am Wednesday morning. Trump team had until midnight to respond and Jack Smith until 6am.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about. Trump’s deliberations with his attorney were taped and that’s how the crime/fraud exception to attorney client privilege was pierced(Judge viewed them in camera). Essentially the grand jury is going to receive transcripts of Trump’s “criminal scheme” in his own words.

I'm happy to be held accountable for what I say. Even when they have to take my words out of context. To me, this sounds like "Finally! We got Golem being wrong!". That says a lot about how many times they HAVEN'T found me to be wrong. So even if I hadn't said that it was Trump (not me) who said that, the overwhelming excitement by the right because they think they found something wrong in one of my posts hints as to how rare that is. It's actually quite moving!

Despite my research, I do get things wrong from time to time. Even though this was not one of those instances (except to those who only read the title of the thread in question), to find something wrong DOES require posters to do research. So motivating them to do that research is a big win for the forum and the quality of the debates.

This time they thought they found something wrong, and they didn't have to do any research. In fact, they had to OMMIT the part where I say "...or so says Trump". They might have better luck next time if they DO do the research.

 

How does one "research" a claim made by Trump, absent verification from his sources? Trump could have simply made the mistake of believing CNN, for once.

My "research" only went so far as reading your OP. It didn't escape my attention of the clever way you constructed it with the use of the ellipsis. As someone else mentioned, the title of the thread was click bait. However, the overall content of your post indicated you believed it to be true. If that's the case, you didn't do much research. Trump has an established habit of trolling leftists. If you researched his habits you could deduce that this very well could be another attempt to do so.

 

It is a very real possibility that making a big deal out of it could have prevented it from happening, or resulted in delay.

Him making a big deal out of something going to happen and then it does not, sort of makes him look stupid and takes away from his credibility, which is exactly what the other side wants.

A bit off topic but let's not forget about all those spiteful posters on the Left who made fun of Assange, claiming he was being stupid and the U.S. was not going to issue an arrest warrant on him... until it actually happened.
