The ONLY Person (Assuming one is referring to the POTUS) who would fit The Title "OUR President" is Joe Biden! Period!

Just remember that the constitution is silent on any dangers that law enforcement face in the course of their duty.

That said, I'm all for the use of video to attend a court appearance virtually. It's high tech solutions like this which make everyone's day more convenient instead of trying to work out the logistics of getting everyone to the courtroom on time.

I would be fine if Trump was arraigned virtually...
I always assumed that was going to be the case, anyway...
All that needs to be done is for Trump's Lawyers to be advised of the charges, and have the arraigment be virtual, and arrange a time and place for the mugshots and prints to be taken...

In the 42 Years since Reagan was shot--SS Security (due to the level.of threats) has increased at least 1000 times (in terms of protecting the President)...

In General, ANY Suggestion (regardless of the source) that the charges could (even possibly) be "bogus" is patently misguided..
Obviously, the DA is going to be certain that the elements (to prove the specific charges) can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a Court of Law...
^Thus, "Bogus Charges" CAN'T Even Possibly Exist...

He's not President. Former President. And no jurisdiction has to hold off on any criminal defendant IE they can simply stick in in a normal solo holding cell.

Violating campaign finance laws and falsifying business records.

They're bogus because 1. NYS campaign finance laws don't apply to presidential elections and 2. A presidential campaign isn't a corporation that's regulated under NYS incorporation laws.

 

The trump org IS regulated by NY state, but no charges have been filed yet anyway
