Yes, something like that. Being mad at the world was probably the primary motivation. At least the media refers her to as 'she' and 'female' even though she referred to herself as 'he'. I guess a 'tran' can range from someone simply using pronouns, to someone who has undergone extensive surgeries etc

Isn't that effectively the same thing those opposed to trans women in women's sports say? It's one thing if they are fully transitioned, both physically and chemically. But like that DUDE (yeah, I said it) who's walking around the women's locker room with his ******* dangling and beating all of the real women in the pool, that's not what is happening. I would say I have no issues with the trans community, but I have two. First is the women's sports thing, and the second is medical procedures on children, which was, I thought, the SOP, and an uncontroversial SOP at that.

One observation that may or may not be meaningful, but I was reading the /r/trans board on Reddit today, specifically about this issue, and I noticed that a very large majority of trannys, at least those participating on that board in that thread, are male to female. Not 100%, but 80-90% as an uncounted guesstimate. It's meaningless to me, once you are an adult, you do you boo, but it's... interesting.

I don't know. I mentioned it, because initially I thought this was a guy who had transitioned to a "woman", but it turned out it was a girl, who wanted to be called a guy, so it was a female shooter.

It is being released that she was under medical care and her practitioner was concerned she was suicidal.

We need to make medical personnel report something like this so the guns can be removed. This is happening so often and I am getting sick of it.

 

There is a large difference from making everybody get a check, and removing guns from somebody already under medical care that the practitioner is concerned they are a danger to themselves or others.

This psycho was a lawful owner as far as I know. And such a law would have made her an unlawful gun owner. So it would harass her, and not the lawful owners.

Yep, they did the classic "we don't support but..." Then went on to try to justify and deflect. They are equally guilty.

 

There's no difference between someone who is, "already under medical care that the practitioner is concerned they are a danger to themselves or others." and someone who is falsely judged to be mentally unfit to own a gun.

Mental health checks will be another way for anti-gunners to make it harder (impossible?) for law abiding citizens to own guns.
