DeSantis was right the first time; it is a territorial dispute in which the US and NATO are the aggressors. They want the war to begin in 2022, and ignore the 8-14k people killed in Donbas since 2014.

The war criminals are those who cheer on the Ukrainians to fight to the last man, so they can weaken their perceived enemy, Putin, from their couches. It's dishonorable and disgusting. Let me know when they are almost out of Ukrainians to kill for their Putin crusade, so we know when we've run out of time to predict what peoples they intend to sacrifice next to prove their virtue.

Look at a map please. It is US bases and weapons that encroach upon Russia. One cannot ignore the 8-14k deaths in Donbas prior to the 2022 invasion. One cannot ignore that Putin could have easily seized all of Ukraine east of the Dniepr river in 2014 when he seized Crimea, and with a little more effort, probably all of Ukraine. But he did not. He waited to fight until we had armed Ukrainians to the teeth. When Bush threatened to bring Georgia into NATO in 2008, did Putin invade? Yes. Does he occupy Georgia today, even though he flattened their capital, and could have easily done so? No.

The above facts completely destroy the Biden administration's narrative of Putin on the warpath, ready to dominate all of Europe. It is clear to any rational observer that Putin is reacting to US aggression. Do I wish he would have reacted differently? Sure. But that doesn't change the root cause.

Yes, encroach. As in, if Russia had bases in Mexico City, Havana, Calgary, Kingston, and Veracruz, with openly stated plans to make bases in Tijuana, Nogales, and Vancouver, that would be encroachment upon the US. Especially if they intended to place S400 missiles and even more advanced weapons in those locations.

If that were the case, then one must assume that Putin is really stupid. Because nothing was stopping him in 2014 from taking half of Ukraine with ease. If one is acting out of a desire to gain military advantage, they don't watch their opponent get armed to the teeth for 8 years before attempting to seize the rest of their country. One doesn't allow Georgia to remain an independent state when their military has been crushed, and no other military is coming to help. The imperialistic narrative doesn't add up.
