Here's where your analogy fails: Medical issues are human issues, and I am a human being. I'll give an example: I'm having heart/chest issues right now. I've had pain on and off in that area, and I'm going to get a doctor's appointment for it. The doctors will hopefully find the specific thing causing the pain, but I am aware enough that I know the part of the body that's hurting.

In this case, psychiatry. I clearly have never been assigned to this person, but she made herself into a public figure through her actions and what we can interpret based on what's known about her.
