If we actually did something constructively concrete to thwart mass shootings/stop school shootings, what would the Democratic Party have to complain about?

It's funny how they say that but that's where they want to stop.... They don't want to further break down groups of males which makes the picture even more clear.

 

I contend that the disparagement of the sentiment "thoughts and prayers" is rooted in religious bigotry. It's simply untrue that the religious right offers no solutions to end the senseless killings due to violence of any kind.

 

Here’s my plan to stop or reduce the body count in school shootings:

Throughout the school wall safes are installed with hand guns inside. The safes can only be opened after a signal is sent to them by specific admins or other responsible people in the school. Then certain teachers can be given a simple three or four digit combination for them to open the safes after those safes were given the go ahead to be opened. As a safety measure, the people who can electronically allow the safes to be opened don’t get a combo to them. This prevents someone who has both from getting the guns should s/he go off the rails.

Prior to the school year the teachers who volunteer to have access to the safes go through a gun safety and shooting course using the exact type of guns in the safes. After that they take periodic refresher courses.

If a school took up my plan, an active shooter inside a school could face immediate armed resistance from various directions instead of waiting the the police to arrive.
