Yes, I have schizoaffective disorder. When I have a psychotic break I don't like it, and I do what I can to get better. Including going to the hospital if things get out of hand.
how about we just push god in the deist context as the framers intended, not a jealous and vengeful god as some are trying to push now? http://thefreedictionary.com/deist "deĀ·ism (dzm, d-) n. The belief, based solely on reason, in a God who created the universe and then abandoned it, assuming no control over life, exerting no influence on natural phenomena, and giving no supernatural revelation."
I gotta say, your posting style does not inspire confidence. Why don't you tell us how you went from not yet having drawn these conclusions to having drawn them? Your conclusions are really only interesting if you can give a good account for how you reached them.
Nor should you, just like we're not just going to take your word for any of your claims. I have no interest in you trusting us, I just want to see your workings. I don't want to shut you up, but given that you're willing to post your claims, why so unwilling to post your reasons for those claims?
I've been dead. I remember what happened while I was. Your 'god' was nowhere to be found, though my consciousness did continue beyond the death of my body. Sorry. The OP went a bit over the top with his multi-post probably under the influence rant, but the point that religion, or more to the point, organized religion is dying is 100% accurate. I know few people that follow those old ways.
I don't follow, have you gone through some kind of non-clinical death? Or do you mean that any "clinical death that proves god" doesn't exist? Did you not believe what you believe before you learned about non-clinical death?
What about them? What do you think they prove and why? Did you believe what you believe before you heard about these hallucinations?
Perhaps. It's beside the point, either way. What about them? What do you think they prove and why? Did you believe what you believe before you heard about these hallucinations?
Sortof. I think part of God (the Judeo-Christian one) giving us Free Will necessitates a 'hands off' approach while we figure our **** out. Its not so much that he doesnt interact, but more that he can't interact with us in any way that would have objective effects that alter how or what we do. So in that sense, I (and many believers in the Judeo-Christian God) might be considered 'deists'.
Cool, I don't care about my comments either. I care about the answers to my questions. And of course, the reason you should care about them isn't that I care about them, it is anyone who reads this will care about it. If you don't care about that either, why are you posting at all? If you have good answers, it should be easier to answer than it is to deflect like you do. What about them? What do you think they prove and why? Did you believe what you believe before you heard about these hallucinations?
