Attacks that came at a time of normalizing relations with Saudi Arabia, which have also been put on ice due to the Saudis needing to appear to be pro-Palestinian.

Your proposed false flag attack really doesn't appear to have advanced the main objective of the hard right facists in the government (that being the consolidation of power and neutering of the judiciary). Given the political outcomes, it is more likely to be something planned by Iran to prevent normalization of relations between Israel and other Middle-East nations.

Just read a Reuters article and it appears as though the MAJORITY of Israeli's are BLAMING this fustercluck on Bilious Bibi. When a "strong man" makes "promises to protect" but then fails to deliver, he is toast.

 

The False Flag was a hypothetical because it would have been remiss of me NOT to include it as a possibility.

Latest evidence establishes that your observations above have merit. It is entirely possible that Hamas/Iran saw an opportunity and seized it. The current coalition government is unlikely to go to war WITHOUT full US backing and Biden made it clear that he would NOT support that option.

The next election will see both a change in ruling party and a move TOWARDS the Two State solution IMO.
