    HYPERLINK has full article

    snip

This is Block's second layoff in two months, with the company in December laying off 40 people working on the music-streaming app Tidal. While Dorsey did not specify the number of Block employees laid off on Tuesday, a person familiar with the company said the number was close to 1,000.............

company spokesperson did not deny the number of layoffs but reiterated Block's plans from last year to cap head count at about 12,000 employees, a reduction from the 13,000 workers it had late last year.

    end snip

Another 1,000, well paying professional jobs being cut within the Dreaded Private Sector.

But fear not, we shall hear about how great the jobs-added report is despite the sectors that are hiring. The folks are hurting and prospects are grim for many to return to their prior lifestyle.

How is a president responsible for this company?

Overall, there are more jobs today. Than 4 years ago.

Just proves how easy it is to fool leftist to get them to chirp on command.

Microsoft and Meta lays off 10,000
    Google lays off 12,000
    Salesforce lays off 7500
    Macys lays off 2400
The worst 12 months for Silicon Valley since the dot-com crash of the early 2000s loses 260,000 tech jobs
    PayPal lays off 2500
Amazon lays off 8000 in January of 2023 and another 10,000 in November
    Yellow trucking lays off 30,000
Google parent Alphabet cut another 12,000
    Citigroup lays off 20,000
    Goldman Sachs lays off 4000
    UPS cuts 12,000 jobs

    Thanks Joe

33% of large US companies will outsource at least some of their application development or maintenance work by 2024.
A four decade high 9% inflation rate drops and the left goes wild
Gas prices go from an average of $5 to $3.82, a long way from $1.87, and the left goes wild
Grocery prices rise another 2.7% from 2022 and the left goes wild

    Thanks Joe

Biden lied about a statistic on the number of people receiving unemployment benefits, misidentifying them simply as the number of people “out of work.” His comment leaves the false impression that unemployment declined by more than 16 million people on his watch, when the decline was actually under 5 million.

And a big reason for the large decline in unemployment benefits is the expiration of pandemic

According to leftist, this is sign of a kick ass economy.

    Thanks Joe

But don't worry Joe. Your followers only know what they are commanded to know.

We Fool lefty can do the math and combine all these numbers together to 130,400 Job lose vs 14 million job created. The lefty fools knows 14 million is greater then 130,400.

And you are right , Thanks Joe for creating 14 million jobs.

    Are you effing kidding me !!! :) :) :)

Tech industry is hiring, I still get 5 emails a day from recruiters. This industry is changing so fast no one except the exceptional can keep up.

Making obtuse associations between that industrial and Biden is a joke. You conveniently leave out that Biden is propping up the chip industry for our own supply side. Or maybe you fell for that Trump BS that IBM would hire 25k more workers during his term. :)

There are more people employed today than were EVER employed while Trump was president. Even before the lockdown.
    Thanks Joe.

The two biggest problems my company has are
    - filling the hundreds of open job positions (we have had hundreds of open positions for the last two years)
    - managing the growth because it’s so rapid

No matter how many people we hire, and no matter how many people we add, we still have between 200-300 open positions.

You know, I know, we all know Biden didn't create 14 million jobs. But if you really believe that, tell us what he did to create them.

None of this is going to matter soon. Jobs are going to be lost big time across every sector, and will be a good thing. It will force society to restructure itself, and force humanity to come to grips with what is really important. It isn't money, productivity, profit, etc. It is happiness, well being, spiritual fitness, and satisfaction. I don't know exactly how long the transition will take, but it is coming, whether we like it or not. The genie is out of the bottle.

When jobs are created, it's those greedy capitalists that create them.. but you won't give them any credit will you? Thanks Joe (F*** you Musk, Bezos, Gates.. ect)
I guess when those same greedy capitalists create jobs under Repbublicans.. well they are just greedy and the President doesn't matter.

You are right, POTUS any jobs, Market creates job. Just like Biden/POTUS don’t create inflation, market does. Same goes for oil price, POTUS don’t produce oil or set oil price, market does.

But that don’t stop you blaming Biden for high inflation or gas price. You know, I know very well Biden has nothing to do with gas price or inflation. But conservative media keep blaming Biden.

I would like to give GOP credit for Job creation, but it seems like whenever republicans are in WH America is in trouble.

Let’s take a look job creation by number

Biden -14 million job created in 3 years.

Trump -3 million job lose in 4 years. Biggest job loses under any POTUS in last 100 years.

Obama -8.9 million Jobs created in 8 years.

    W. Bush – 5.7 million Job created in 8 years.

Clinton -18 .6 million Job created in 8 years.

    H. Bush - 2 million Job created in 4 years.

Reagan -16.5 million Job created in 8 years.

It seems like apart from Reagan, republican presidents are not that great creating jobs.

Just think how many jobs he COULD have created if they count people going back to works after days off and after taking a vacation :) Out of curiosity, I wonder how many of those jobs counted were folks returning to work after lockdowns

What everybody else does, update your resume. !!!

Good grief, this happens in the tech industry all the time, let alone defense contractors. When they lose a bid on a project, guess what happens.

In the tech industry, one always has to keep up with technology. I remember about 15 yrs ago, I was told to work more, or they can hire someone out of school and train them. That has always been the case, companies are always looking to reduce salary requirements.

You claimed you hired IT people, if true, I shouldn't have to tell you this.
