I'm not commenting on the question of immunity. I'm talking about the precedent of a politically based prosecution. The can is open, Trump will not be the only one DAs go. From here on its open season.

If a red state AG has evidence of crimes by a dem politician they absolutely should bring charges if they think they can get a conviction. Are you telling me they currently have that evidence and are not acting? That is disgraceful and you should be ashamed of them!

Evidentiary requirements not so much in demand with political theater. Trump didn't need any when his team brought all those voter fraud lawsuits.

His useless lawsuits didn’t involve a grand jury. All his criminal charges did. I welcome these red state AGs to get an indictment if they have evidence of crimes.

The partisanship in a place like deep red Texas would be the same as deep blue NYC. Finding a stacked grand jury wouldn't be a problem.

So what? Should it be illegal to indict someone from another party? That’s ridiculous.

That's simply not an accurate portrayal of the phone call. No impartial observer can read that transcript and come to ANY other conclusion than Trump honestly believed he won and wanted him to find LEGITIMATE votes. Not fabricate fake ones.

That’s ridiculous as he was told several times on the call that his claims were wrong. No impartial observer could think he had any proof. Probably why the grand indicted him!

Do you agree that POTUS, in this case Humpty,* must act lawfully at all times in the execution of his duty?

And when he was told he was wrong he forcefully pushed back telling the Raff he was wrong. The idea he was asking for fraudulent votes is preposterous.

It is astounding to observe how entitled he feels he is to being the exception to the rules of society and the law.
Full immunity would translate into a form of Trump style dictatorship as he would ignore all the boundaries in place that makes the system run.
How sad to see one man so power hungry that he believes he can alter the constituent and the premise on which this nation was built. The MAGA mob just reinforces his beliefs about himself. One might say that this nation is at a cossroads... (and all designed by one person. So ,in effect , he is behaving like an authorization leader , and is not even in office .Has it gone too far or can the nation still self correct?? the question is: why do his mb want to give him so much absolute power???

And yet he has stated for the wor5ld to hear that he can shoot someone on fifth ave and get away with it. ( Yes...he wants full immunity so he can behave as he wishes and not have to worry about the consequences. In his mind , he is entitled to that. It is important to try and understand the psychology of the man. His words and actions reveal all there is to knowabout him. He is that transparent.

I have no trouble at all saying that POTUS must at all times act lawfully in the execution of his duty. How about you? Do you agree?

I'll be happy to provide you the link where his lawyers explicitly say they're not looking for full immunity in court

The same thing all presidents have had. Immunity from actions taken while serving as president for actions which are not solely personal in nature.
