The left says if we banned guns there there would be no guns to shoot people with. Does their logic also apply to if there were no illegals then there would be no illegals raping women and committing murders?

You're missing the point of this. You obviously didn't watch the video in #54. Lankford said that they hadn't even released the contents of the bill before Trump told him, "I will destroy you, if you put forth any immigration bill". Other Senators, including McConnell (probably Cruz), were eager for a bill, until Trump weighed in. Trump doesn't care about the American people. He cares about himself.

 

See video in #54. We would have a "controlled process" if Sen Lankford's (R-OK) immigration bill was passed, but Trump blocked it.

 

The ultimate point is Biden can reverse what he did on day one and get Schumer to send him the bill the House passed last May.

Why won't he do that? Give me a reason.

 

I didn't read the bill, actually didn't see anything like a reasonable summary.

We have a major problem with legislation- where one bill will be used to cover multiple issues, tying things that wouldn't pass on their own to things that are strongly supported.
This is kind of like a poison pill. If you refuse to pass it, they say it's your fault. If you do pass it, you pass the poison part- and that becomes your fault too.

Issues should stand on their own. The poison pill is not compromise, it's blackmail. Both sides do it, but it should be banned.
