    Never go full Baghdad Bob.

Joe Scarborough Goes Full Nutcase Defending Biden’s Mental Acuity

"I've said it for years now: he's cogent," said Scarborough on Wednesday. "But I undersold him when I said he was cogent. He's far beyond cogent. In fact, I think he's better than he's ever been, intellectually, analytically, because he's been around for 50 years. And, you know — I don't know if people know this or not — Biden used to be a hothead. Sometimes that Irishman would getting in front of the reasoning. Sometimes he would say things he didn't want to say."

Not really any different than the folks defending Trump's decline. We've got a president and a former/would-be president both experiencing age related mental decline right in front of us and we can't wait to reelect one of them.

No matter who wins, WE will be the losers.

Scarborough annoys the ever loving **** out of me, especially with the way he talks down to his wife, and I don't think that Biden is better than he's ever been, but it really isn't that bad. Trump and Biden are both older guys and both have extremely similar issues. And, yes, both are showing some signs of cognitive decline, but I hope my mind is as sharp as either of them at that age. They both seem to do better than most of my family have at that age.

I wonder if maybe Joe Scarborough actually believes what he's saying. People thought David Koresh was literally Jesus ****ing their wives, after all.

Trump has more problems than Biden - calling Nikki Haley by the Pelosi name is extreme case-in-point. What if that kind of lapse occurs while he's in office.

I don't even feel like spending the time to go look it up but I know there's been several occasions here that have been discussed where Biden has completely misidentified world leaders.

Didn't he recently refer to the Mexican president by the name of a dead French president?

Biden is a savvy politician who knows his way around Washington and gets things done. Because of his Statesman approach, there isn't everyday fighting on America's streets. He passed the Infrastructure bill, Chips and Science act, Climate Change policy, the American Rescue plan that brought the country through COVID, Bills to avoid a government shutdown, established Juneteenth National Independence day, the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (tough on China), Gun Safety Bill.

Republicans had the House, the Senate, and the Presidency for 2 years, and passed very little. No WALL. No Health care reform. Mostly empty promises. They passed tax reductions, which primarily favored the millionaires and billionaires. What were the results of that ---

Massive deficits all 4 years Trump was in office. Over $8 Trillion in debt over 4 years. Even with added accrued daily interest, Biden's debt is projected to come in at $7 Trillion for 4 years.

As a fiscal Conservative, there is more that I would like to see Biden do (along with the House and Senate), but a Trump choice is a massive step backwards. Why isn't this Republican House putting forth spending reduction bills, like the Newt Congress did when they had the House with a Democratic president? Here's why - this Republican House is dysfunctional, and that's 100% because of the extreme MAGA wing that wants to focus on Hunter Biden and other crap that is antithetical to American interests.

I honestly don't know. He could be cynically lying because it's given him a career to be a Democratic spokesperson and there is a lot of prestige in that or he could actually believe this stuff, in which case he's a dummy.
