Nice !! " Beam me up Scottie" -- I like those ancient alien theories as well .. recorded in Genesis .. parts of the Story .. When the Sky people came down .. created a hybrid human of sorts .. which looked like them because was hybrid .. then after some time .. the fair hybrid maidens were found attractive to the sky people .. who came down and made wives of them.

I know the story friend -- very cool you are a believer !

Yeah .. when faced with a "Tough Question" they often Beam out .. wanting to hide light under blanket .. rather than let it shine :)

Have you Jesus DNA? That would conclusively prove whether it is a fake or not. The face seems to be of an old man. Regardless of what the Bible says Romans did not put nails through the hands but the wrists (Jesus refers to his hands John 20:27) and often used ropes instead of nails. It's a hoax.

Actually, I'm not suggesting anything. You had written what seemed like you were implying that beliefs could be consciously chosen. I simply asked if that was indeed what you were saying. I don't know what more you need in order to be able to answer.

I believe I have already responded in the past regarding post 3039 by trev. He and his brother the gifted one have habits of asking the same questions over and over that I've already responded to in the past. I suggest you all keep notes as we go merrily along.

Ok thanks Kode for your post.

Yes indeed, according to the Word of God, Abraham bought land from Ephron the Hittite so he could bury his wife Sarah who had just passed away. Let me present Genesis 23 that tells the story, it is a relatively short chapter so I will present it in its entirety.

    We Read in Scripture:

    The Burial of Sarah

23 When Sarah was 127 years old, 2 she died at Kiriath-arba (now called Hebron) in the land of Canaan. There Abraham mourned and wept for her.

3 Then, leaving her body, he said to the Hittite elders, 4 “Here I am, a stranger and a foreigner among you. Please sell me a piece of land so I can give my wife a proper burial.”

5 The Hittites replied to Abraham, 6 “Listen, my lord, you are an honored prince among us. Choose the finest of our tombs and bury her there. No one here will refuse to help you in this way.”

7 Then Abraham bowed low before the Hittites 8 and said, “Since you are willing to help me in this way, be so kind as to ask Ephron son of Zohar 9 to let me buy his cave at Machpelah, down at the end of his field. I will pay the full price in the presence of witnesses, so I will have a permanent burial place for my family.”

10 Ephron was sitting there among the others, and he answered Abraham as the others listened, speaking publicly before all the Hittite elders of the town. 11 “No, my lord,” he said to Abraham, “please listen to me. I will give you the field and the cave. Here in the presence of my people, I give it to you. Go and bury your dead.”

12 Abraham again bowed low before the citizens of the land, 13 and he replied to Ephron as everyone listened. “No, listen to me. I will buy it from you. Let me pay the full price for the field so I can bury my dead there.”

14 Ephron answered Abraham, 15 “My lord, please listen to me. The land is worth 400 pieces[a] of silver, but what is that between friends? Go ahead and bury your dead.”

16 So Abraham agreed to Ephron’s price and paid the amount he had suggested—400 pieces of silver, weighed according to the market standard. The Hittite elders witnessed the transaction.

17 So Abraham bought the plot of land belonging to Ephron at Machpelah, near Mamre. This included the field itself, the cave that was in it, and all the surrounding trees.

18 It was transferred to Abraham as his permanent possession in the presence of the Hittite elders at the city gate. 19 Then Abraham buried his wife, Sarah, there in Canaan, in the cave of Machpelah, near Mamre (also called Hebron). 20 So the field and the cave were transferred from the Hittites to Abraham for use as a permanent burial place. Genesis 23:1-20 NLT

    Footnotes
    a. 23:15 Hebrew 400 shekels, about 10 pounds or 4.6 kilograms in weight; also in 23:16.

Not according to the Word of God. What source did you get that from? In my view your source is not very accurate/reliable unlike the Word of God. As a matter of fact there were many archaeological evidence/discoveries that proved the Hittites people were a powerful civilization in the 15th and 16th centuries B.C.

Ok thanks trev for your post, will continue later on to respond to your remaining comments.

The scriptures regarding Jesus hands being nailed to the cross says your notion is wrong.

    John 20
    27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands;

He specifically referred to his hands, not his wrists. The wrists were tied to prevent the hands ripping through the nails.

Who do you think you are to tell others to take notes of everything you say?

You said "So teachings of believing that Lord Jesus was not God and that salvation is not by faith alone are examples of Christian cults." And I listed verses that conflict with what you said, and they are .....

    Matt. 19:29
    Romans 6:4
    2nd Timothy 2:11-12
    1 John 3:3
    Gal 5:24
    1st Cor 5:7
    Rev 3:21

If you've already explained your understanding of these verses elsewhere, ... which I DOUBT, ... then at least direct me to the post. Otherwise you're just trying to escape what you can't answer.

Very good post! I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said but in regards to President Trump, President Trump will be a savior only in the sense that if the American people reelect him to be our 47th President of these United States of America, he will then save this country from being ruined further by Joe and his dems.

Another 4 more years with Joe at the helm will certainly destroy this country of ours even more so than what it is now. President Trump will restore this country to greatness again, he will make America great again! And so it is in this sense President Trump will be a savior but of course he or anyone else could not ever be a Savior on the scale like our Lord Savior Jesus Christ is. Lord Jesus is the Savior for all who want to be saved to be with Him for all eternity in paradise in His Kingdom of Heaven to live happily ever after.

Ok thanks brother Injeun for your post.

It's a horrible sickness that leads one to think Trump offers anything of benefit to anyone but himself, an a worse sickness that finds him comparable to Jesus!!!

I don’t know what you said in post 3039 I do not know how to identify that but I’d say along with most other ramblings it’s probably 90% BS

And why use nails when the rope would do the job? Jesus - nor Simon - carried the cross. The upright was left in place as wood was scarce. Another thing. We don't know which cross Jesus was crucified on. It is simply by tradition. 3 out of the 5 shapes used by the Romans are possibilities. There are several early church quotes but none proven. Ignatius even went as far as to say there was a seat for Jesus to sit on.
What you think the Bible has to say is really up to you. A study of much of it against the background on which it is written discloses many errors.
You quote John as I did, but the 4 gospels are anonymous writen. 'Johns Gospel' was almost certainly written by a scholar - not a fishermen. It is full of theology that would have been beyond John. Names are simply by tradition, as with many other books of the Bible.

I'm not sure where you're getting your info from. But I agree the cross was not in the shape Westerners are told it was. It was just a pole with a notch cut out for the feet.

Additionally, there were also four others crucified with him that day -- two thieves and two malefactors.

Calm down Kode san, obviously you have misunderstood/misinterpreted what I said. Let me bring up my entire post below:

Clearly as one can see I used the word "suggest" and so I am not demanding. Furthermore, how do you interpret I'm saying to take notes of everything I say? That is an incorrect interpretation.

Obviously if you had interpreted correctly what I'm truly saying you would have known I meant when you ask me a question and I answer it, note that question you had asked with my response so you won't ask the same question over and over.

    And so I wasn't implying/saying to take notes of everything I say...lol

Ok thanks Kode for your post, please try to interpret what is said correctly that way you won't have misunderstandings.

Aside from verbally insulting and mocking his political adversaries, what evil has Trump actually done to be so hated?

Boasted about how he grabs strange women, or other women, by their genitalia.
Go on, equivocate your way out of that.

Is it true or is it off the record locker room talk. Which of those strange women is offended. Where are the victims?

But you say I should . . . . . what . . . . . be aware of questions someone else asked you at some previous time?

Well, you neither answered the questions (which I've never asked and gotten answers to before from you) nor linked to any post where you answered them.

I have to assume you don't intend to answer them. I guess they're just too damaging to your story.

That's the belief of the JW's. That's the only thing I can't disagree with them. The rest I do.
My information comes from studying the times when these events occured. The Nativity stories of Matthew and Luke fail on those grounds. The Pentatuech fails on those grounds. The story of Jonah becomes just an allegory on those grounds. The book of Job is just another 'argument' as to why the righteous suffer. It is several centuries after the Babylonian 'Job'. I asked him questions years ago and seldom got a relevant answer if any.
