Iran launches dozens of drones toward Israel

My read of Israel is that if they feel abandoned by the US administration, they will go big - nuclear research hub, drone factory, etc.
Biden's handlers will support them while lying to a cooperative press to mollify their anti-Israel voters.

 

I would like to think so as well but with Biden playing his coward side this may not be in the cards for now

 

We already know their statement will condemn Iran in the strongest terms and say that Israel has the right to defend itself and call for a de-escalation of tensions by all parties involved.
Why bother, it's just useless optics.

Up until a few days ago, your cult was saying that Biden was a vicious warmonger. Y'all need to settle on a single butthurt talking point.

The whole planet just saw the USA basically laugh off an Iranian assault. The US looks very, very good now.

The US is seen as being so powerful, they can pretty much ignore the Iranian fleas.

The US is seen as being calm and rational.

If Israel has been paying attention they may have noticed that this Administration doesn't always meet it's commitments to allis.

 

Iran doesn't have nukes because it doesn't want those sick enough to use them the excuse. But Iran is able to get nukes on short notice if it becomes necessary to fend off nuclear threats or attacks.

What commitment? To march into war on Israel's whim and command? The US and its 'partners', the UK and France, took out nearly 100 drones and cruise missiles fired at Israel, having jets in the sky continuously being refueled to establish (along with naval assets) the first line of defense for Israel. The whole operation just last night cost the US nearly $1 Billion. Even ungrateful Israel understood how much worse things would be without that assistance.

 

OK, now that the this big 'Iran versus Israel' episode is over, it's safe to conclude that what Iran decided to do was simply have a face-saving launch involving some older ordnance they were probably overstocked with.

The Israelis have bragged that they shot down 99% of the ~300 missiles and drones that Iran sent against them -- and -- that not one single one of these drones or missiles even made it to Israeli territory!

It is apparent that Iran did not (NOT) use any of their hypersonic missiles, and that would have been a front-and-center consideration if the Iranians had been serious about 'punishing' Israel at all. So, this was a more like a Iranian-sponsored "skeet-shoot", and afterwards everybody just 'calls it a day'....

Iran used a dozen hypersonic Kheibar Shekan missiles with separable warheads and 11 of 12 hit their targets. 5 hit Israel's Ramon air base.

Another Israeli air base was also hit but since (unlike Ramon) Nevatim suffered modest damage, the IDF confirmed that strike as a deflection from hits against Ramon, an Israeli base in Arad and another in the Golan.
You can also look at the video from the Guardian, although the video often zooms out right before missile impact due to Israeli censorship.

 

If what you say is true (and you do have a reputation for being factual, IMHO), then Israel has lied about none of the missiles or drones making it to Israeli territory. This would not be overly shocking -- but what does surprise me is that evidently those hypersonic missiles were not more effective in their destruction. Or were they?

The first casualty of war is the truth. But even Israel didn't go as far as you mention. They underreported the number of missiles that impacted but admitted to 7-8 getting through. They specifically admitted to the Nevatim airbase being hit but claimed it suffered minor damage. The bases that were more seriously damaged were not reported by Israel. But it is also true the drones and cruise missiles and some older ballistic missiles were successfully intercepted. The casualties won't be significant as the targets were physical military infrastructure and the Israelis had advanced notice and in bunkers and shelters.

Now compare Trump's actions to Biden's. Biden thinks he can buy Iranian friendship just like he can buy votes and they're playing him for a fool.

 

Well, whatever they said seems to have worked because Israel decided to not take revenge. It sounds like you not only wanted Israel to go into war, but also see US take part in it. Why?
