This is not new.. It's been reported before in other tribal reservations. Remember, US authority have no jurisdiction on reservation land.

How is stating the fact that Tribal lands have a drug problem, disrespectful of the ownership or sacred nature of Tribal Lands?

The first step in solving any problem is acknowledging that the problem exists. The Tribes should be Thanking Governor Noem for her concern and asking if there is some way that the State Government can assist.

First of all she never governed the lands of Indian reservations. That’s an ignorant claim. Secondly she right, native Americans have drug and alcohol problems and it’s no secret. I dont even like being on an Indian reservation.

Those Indian reservations were never apart of her state. They are a whole different state all together. I’m amazed you even included them as “part of the state she governs”

Those Tribal reservation lands are still in the State of South Dakota.

 

They are lands not governed by her at all. Doesn’t even have constitutional rights on those lands. It’s a different country as far as our government is concerned. They are not in the state being they are literally not state land. The state may surround them by they are their own state.
