Sounds like those you've cited have a hidden agenda. The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority is part of the Australian government. The Great Barrier Reef has been under their jurisdiction since 1975. Just the fact that your reference by Paul Homewood calls the BBC Article corrupt should tell you something. BBC is reporting the state of the reef, as described by this 50-year caretaker of the reef. Paul Homewood is misguided. The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority mission is as follows:

    https://www.directory.gov.au/portfo...ater/great-barrier-reef-marine-park-authority

Under the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (the Authority) is responsible for managing one of the world's premier natural resources: - the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The Authority is governed by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority Board, which comprises a part-time Chairperson, the CEO, and five other part-time members. The Board has responsibility for carrying out the Authority’s functions consistent with the main object of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Act 1975 - to ‘provide for the long term protection and conservation of the environment, biodiversity and heritage values of the Great Barrier Reef Region’. The Authority's primary outcome is to ensure the long-term protection, ecologically sustainable use, understanding and enjoyment of the Great Barrier Reef for all Australians and the international community through the care and development of the Marine Park. This outcome is supported by four main program areas: • Enhancing Reef resilience by providing expert knowledge to advise key decision makers on managing, reducing or avoiding significant threats to the Reef • Enhancing Reef resilience through innovation, management and regulation of the Marine Park and our in-field presence • Enhancing Reef resilience through partnerships, collaboration and education • Supporting a high-performing organisation.

They are a political body committed to the alarmist narrative that is not supported by observations. An example:

The Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) have been tasked with reporting on the state of the corals and coral cover at the Great Barrier Reef. They surveyed John Brewer Reef by underwater manta tow in March 2022, made no mention of any … [Read more...]

OK, so now the BBC is cool? That's good to know. I hate to think that you could descredit them.

So funny :) - from your link ---

That is how I began a blog post on 14th April 2022

So you want readers to listen to a blog started in 2022, over the governing body for the Great Barrier Reef for the last 50 Years?

There's no listening; it's reading. And the narrative concerns the irregularities of what passed for data collection during the "research" for the report you cite. It's a sample; there's much more. The report is classic GIGO.
Not sure what your reference to the BBC is about.

Post # 23 - Your first sentence - "This is not merely propaganda; it is shameless lying propaganda from the BBC."

Strange - the most reputable news agencies in the world. The 50-year Australian organization that has been responsible for the Great Barrier Reef. And you're citing a blog to discredit them.

Two posts from disinformation sites in two minutes anyone would start to think of the term “ desperate attempt”

ABC Aus is very very highly respected but somehow a blog, with a known history of misinformation, is somehow more reputable. Then there is the sheer number of posts from these disinformation sites - almost as if it is an attempt to bury the truth in, well manure

They DO? Are they experts in the field? Have they submitted their concerns to the Australian government? I mean if the GBRMPA is posting misinformation then the Aus govt is entitled to know

Let’s look at Paul Homewood’s credentials

    https://www.desmog.com/paul-homewood/

Mutters to self “what a piece of Neanderthal recidivism ”. Does he pick his nose in public too?

The Australian government's position is more political than scientific.

Look why should I critique a blog written by a Neanderthal with no qualifications in the field and a huge chip on his shoulder about the BBC? He is an accountant now tell me how come he apparently knows more than the Australian scientists doing the research

Oh! Bulltwang! Up until recently the Aus government was conservative. The Alabanese govt has its hands full with other issues - see our govt is not run like yours. These are not political appointees but career scientists and I can tell you that it is a 90% certainty that they don’t give a rats backside WHO is sitting in Canberra. Our whole work ethic is around honesty she says to the person accusing HER of “attacking people to avoid the topic”.

2014? You gotta be joking! Ten years ago and a parliamentary enquiry? Do you even know the purpose of those? They are quality assurance reviews and if deficits are found the ABC is required to correct them. This is the process we use to ensure the ABC gives good value for money and maintains high standard. These reports will detail everything down to non flushing toilets

An explanation. You don’t understand how our system works. ABC is a government funded entity ergo has regular reviews to ensure it is operating the way WE want it to

Well, actually I do understand. ABC, like BBC, is an arm of government information policy.

I'll repeat this, because everybody has cowered away from this fact. A lot of networks repeated this story, originated by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. who is responsible for managing one of the world's premier natural resources: - the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

Of course they did. It was easy and they're lazy.

". . . Just today my mother sent me a clipping from the Cairns Post with the headline ‘Great Barrier Reef Grief’ and my husband tells me the BBC is reporting that ‘75% of the Great Barrier Reef is being lost to bleaching’ with both media outlets blaming global warming. As far as I can tell the AIMS location specific data is being ignored, with a preference for contrived Bureau modelling while the bleaching percentages quoted are based on aerial surveys from out an airplane window at 150 metres altitude.

We could do so much better. . . ."

Your first and last sentence of your post - I guess the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. is correct after all.
