Judge chides Trump lawyer Emil Bove

The afternoon hearing got off to a bumpy start as Justice Juan Merchan grew annoyed with Trump lawyer Emil Bove in a discussion about Michael Cohen’s extensive phone data and whether it should be sealed to protect others’ privacy.

Bove argued that rather than seal such an exhibit, prosecutors should instead submit the pieces of data that they want to introduce as evidence, and let that be a public document as part of a public trial.

Merchan did not like the suggestion.


“It’s an absurd condition to put on the people,” the judge said.

When Bove started to respond, Merchan snapped, “don’t interrupt me.”

Bove started to protest that he wasn’t interrupting.

“No, you are, have a seat,” said Merchan.

I hear that’s why the courtroom temperature is kept a bit low, to reduce the foul vapors coming from trump.

 

, he testified in a criminal trial, I'll eat your hat or fake trying to . He'll claim he will, then his "lawyers" will try to get the judge to limit the scope of his testimony. If limiting that scope doesn't work to Agent Oranges benefit or dis-allows him to gas light the jury, he'll claim that the judge was unfair and that his lawyers have recommended he not perjure himself since the case is rigged. He looks willing and can fund raise through the entire show he's putting on.

 

Ah, yes. The so-called perjury trap! There are 2 ways around that. First, Trump could tell the truth. This would get him convicted, so he can’t do that. Second, he could choose not to testify; he’ll take that option and then lie when he’s not under oath.

It's stupid to be talking about this, but it is entertaining!
I was laughing and telling my wife about it, and had the thought that Trump could be doing this on purpose, eating stuff to make him flatulent just to show his anger at the whole thing. Bannon calling him up at 4am to make sure he ate all those beans! Rudy telling him he'll fart more if he drinks half a bottle of scotch the night before! Lol!

I can see Alan Dershowitz somehow involved trying to get Avenatti to the stand, Trump paying him of course.
I have to look to see when Avenatti first represented Stormy, I know he wasn't doing so when the negotiations for the NDA-130,000 was done.
He just did an interview from prison which was "much ado about nothing"..just right-wing "witch hunt" talking points and he thinks Trump will be found guilty.

How many years has it been now that Trump, his lawyer, his supporters have been telling us that Michael Cohen is a known/admitted liar never to be believed?
Even though MC has proved with documents/electronic messages/audio and corroborating witnesses that he's got the good on Trump & Co, to back up his testimonies?

Not sure how this would work. AFAIK, he still owes Clifford money....

 

Michael Avenatti’s only goal here is to attack Cohen and his erstwhile client Stormy Daniels. He was interviewed recently on tv from the big house, and the guy sounded unhinged. He has tons of baggage and would be a terrible witness. It’s a desperate cry for relevance and revenge. Trump’s lawyers are not that desperate yet.

 

The money he stole/owes Stormy is the least of it.
For starters a 4 million settlement for his paraplegic client.
In his guilty plea he owes over 10 million to clients/IRS.
I think he got additional years after this 14 yr sentence?
