errrr, I think this is what you get for depending on the Government like a bunch of slugs on a Fat Rat. Now, had you stayed independent,,they would need YOU!!,,,get it?
Unfortunately, you have forgotten how to do that......

Taxes were lower during the Reagan and Bush Senior Years (when the debt went up) and during the Bush Junior and Obama years (when the debt went up). The only time taxes went up (the Clinton years) the debt went down. As for taking on China, the powers-that-be want that cheap Chinese labor and they intend for it to continue; China also holds so much US debt that if Congress gets too nasty they can always flush that debt into the world market and effectively crash the dollar.

It is also interesting that the regulation that the Republicans always single out is usually the most effective regulation against large corporation mispractices and especially that of oil companies. It's amazing how low the priority is to trim back all the stupid regulations impeding small business is; it never seems to be a priority with either the Democrats or the Republicans. Surely the big corporations are getting enough of a break, in many ways in many places, without giving them even more?

Luckily I predict things will get so bad in a few years the whole financial house of cards will collapse and the combination of having to face reality and public outrage will actually cause real reforms to be enacted. For some reason people never see the writing on the wall until the wall falls on them: then they get grumpy and insist the wall be rebuilt in a much safer fashion. A higher birth rate wouldn't hurt either.

Pretty much. Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic seems to be an American tradition in politics.

People put more thought into their fantasy football teams than they do in researching candidates.

Depends what country you are talking about. We have all paid for what we get, and there are plenty of people wanting to move here. What's your point? Your system is collapsing all around you, but don't you come here - we need sensible workers.

Same can be said for the UK too. 2 Party politics is hardly democratic. Not enough choice! Although there are 3 contending parties in the Uk, the third only got into power once in the last 100 years.

Denmark is a HUGE welfare state and it's doing fine. It owes only like 10% of it's gnp. It's barely spending more than it has. It has almost no economic regulations though and smaller business taxes but HUGE other taxes.

You are, unforunately, woefully misinformed. Denmark's debt-to-GDP ratio is 180%.

Thanks for that I thought that it seemed a little ,shall we say AGAINST THE TREND as far as the Social Democratic Nation States is concerned !Greece ,Spain ect..

Conscidering that little demark is reknowned for the production of "WHAT' exactly?

Just as I suspected ANOTHER Nation State in BANKRUPTCY!

Seems any form Social Democratic or Ultra Capitialist unfettered Nation State is as delusional chaotic and just plain COLLAPSING!

    Gee ,I wonder why?

    Might be something SYSTEMIC going on like a GLOBAL DEPRESSION [formerly known as the "GFC"}

Question,at what point does a GFC become a Global Economic Depression or GED?

Answer;when a bigger GFC ,takes place 3 years after the first!

Their is of course a 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% probablyity that I am mistaken !

As a scientist in Political Economy must always take into account that he is maybe jumping the Gun!

I will think about what is in frount of my nose again ,ummmm,no we can dispense with any doubt and put it to bed kiddies ,guess what ?

You are in a GLOBAL ECONOMIC DEPRESSION that makes 1929 look like a recession!

or as Trotsky put it "The Death Agony of Capitialism"!

    thats LEON TROTSKY ,not philxx!

he lead and defended the Revolution that gave rise to the USSR ,fought against Stalinist Nationalism from 1923-1940!

when the GPU ,under direct instruction of Stalin Assasssinated him in Mexico!

the US Government at the time was to SCARED to let him in its Border!

What in the world are you on about? I don't believe I've ever once defended US fiscal policy, so I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.

I simply educated you. However you want to deflect the facts about Denmark is entirely your (sordid) affair -- leave me out of it.

Yes, because Obama is clearly the problem to Americans .. .which is funny, the rest of the world sees it as the GOP's fault . . .and yes, I have it in writing.
