We were shedding 750,000 jobs a month in 2008 and the housing market had already crashed.

I take it you are more partisan than realistic or patriotic.

Buck up.. There's no quick fix, but we'll get thru this and be better than ever.

NEW, not ongoing, NEW, unemployment claims last week, 417,000. We had ONE week with new claims at 400,000, ONE WEEK, then back up to the present. Our running average is ABOVE 417,000 but just using last week we find:
    417,000X 52 = 21,684,000 NEW UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS PER YEAR.

21,684,000/12 =1,807,000 jobs NEWLY lost per month in the last 12 months.

What was it you were saying about "shedding" 750,000 jobs per month?

And, for a kicker, we are $4 trillion further in debt. Debt UP, jobs DOWN. Housing still in the toilet, WHY? The incompetent idiot's false propping up of the mortgage market last year. Even the Treasury denounced that as a total failure. The people that had the homes "saved" and refinanced, lost them a few months later anyway. A total waste of money and a complete failure. and now he wants to repeat his idiotic mistake again.

That's not partisan, that is FACT!

I believe you're thinking of the "Authorization for Military Force Against Terrorists" bill. The bill that authorized force against Iraq and that had the adamant and vocal support of Obama's Secretary of State was the "Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002."

""In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members...

It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well, effects American security.

This is a very difficult vote, this is probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make. Any vote that might lead to war should be hard, but I cast it with conviction." -Obama's Secretary of State

Obama could get credit for gettting rid of Khadafi and get in al-quaida to control most or all muslim arab countries, because Khadafi hated al-quaida and sent undercover soldiers to kill them!?

Al Qaeda is not in control anywhere except in parts of Yemen and Somalia.

    Get your facts straight.

Love the non-sequotor, Margot. President Carter had everything to do with the Ayatollah taking power and the hostages being taken, and held, for a year.

Nope. He won't get any credit. The **********s never make decisions based on fact. They start with their far right wing hate ideology and then work from there.

Obama's "Bush Mess Clean Up Check List":

    1. Get Bin Ladin: check

    2. Wind down Bush's misadventure in Iraq: check.

    3. End the Bush Recesssion; check.

    4. End Bush's support for the hated dictator Gadhafi and usher in democracy without shedding a drop of American blood: check.

Poor conservatives -- Obama keeps checking off their failures.

Bullcrap. Calling whole swaths of the American populace tea-baggers is nothing but vile hatred. If you'd take the hatred down a notch maybe I'd take you more serious when you talk about hatred coming from others.

What does that have to do with anything? You're accusing other people of being hateful in the same exact paragraph you refer to a significant sector of America as tea-baggers. Are you seriously that blind to your own hypocrisy?

It's so funny to see **********s, with all their violent and ugly rhetoric, get all righteous about somebody attacking them back.

Like all bullies, they're just little babies at heart.

Truth is a complete defense: the Tea Party is totally and completely delusional and never makes a single claim that doesn't mistate or misrepresent the facts. Their entire worldview is based on xenophobia, scapegoating and fear.

That's the truth. Deal with it.

Of course, I'll give President Obama credit for helping bring Khaddafi down with his illegal war.

However, when we find out just how closely connected the "rebels" are with Al Quida, I will not listen while President Obama blames George Washington, President Bush, the American people, those nasty politicians, the Republicans, the oil companies, Congress, The Tea Party Movement, and the Wookies.

Someone should warn President Obama that when you play grown-up, you can get credit but you take blame.

Wait...wait....wait....hold the phone. The truth can be skewered in anyway possible, as you have so pointedly shown, so it's never a valid argument, unless it's backed up with hard evidence. Your truth is deluded and rather ignorant. You take an entire group of citizens, with their own views, and anonymously group them together and paint lies and gossip over them on the internet. Truthfully, that's sad if not entirely pathetic, and sorry to rain on your parade, either find some facts or get out.

That's the truth....here's my evidence right here. YOUR OWN WORDS.

LOL @ this fail, I was ignoring this thread, and when I saw that post I nearly fell off my chair laughing. I've seen some absurd stuff here, but really, this is over the top haha

So vile hatred is good when spewed by lefties but bad when it comes from others. I think that's your defense. It is stupid, but if it helps you sleep at night...

Yep, I hate ignorance, scapegoating and xenophobia. It's an evil brew that results in hurtful policies, as we've already seen with the budget fiasco brought on by Tea Party lunatics.

I'm totally unapologetic about my belief in rational policy based on facts and concern for the public. Your attempts to characterize reason and truth as "hatred" is noted as one more Tea Party delusional meme.

Calling a significant sector of Americans tea-baggers is now defined by you as reason and truth? Wow, now that's ... funny. At least you've got a sense of humor about your hypocrisy.

It is when people are unable to reason through the issues that they resort to this kind of childish name-calling.

Yep **********s are **********s. Why do you flee from your own crazy policies? Man up and defend them. But of course, you can't. They are morally odious and irrational.

As to name calling -- BWHHAHAHAHHAHA. To hear a ********** compmlain about name-calling. BWHAHAHHAHHAHAH. It's perfect.

Dude, what goes around comes around. The Tea Party's ugly rhetoric is coming right back at you.

First of all they are a minority of Americans. Secondly they coined the term "**********s" when refering to their idiology. Thirdly no matter how many Bin Ladens Obama kills or Qaddafis he deposes on the cheap without a single American life lost the **********s will still say vile things like what Rick Perry said. Its so predictable and inexcusable.
